I heard about Burning Man for the first time in a Jackie Collins novel, "Hollywood Kids" when I was in my early 20's, go figure! :D

My s.o. works in environmental clean-up they wear those all the time. Sister and I will be wearing ty-vek suits out on the playa (sans mask-tooooo spendy), look for us we'll be the ones that are looking like very colorful blinking spacemen!!! ha ha ha :shock:

Thank you, on behalf of all of us virgin burners, it is kind of nice to know that you all get stressed out about packing too even though you have been there, it sort of makes my obsessive searching,buying, sewng, packing etc... seem a little (I said little) less insane. :D

History class is something my kids don't have to study if they don't want to, they are blessed and attend a Charter school. They follow the Sudbury model of democratic education, and are allowed to choose what they want to learn. It is the only publicly funded school of this philosophy in the nation...
