Burning Man and Quantifiable Risk

I have just been learning about a fascinating little thing called a Micromort. Has anyone ever worked out how many of these units a trip to Burning Man is?

Re: East Coast Burners / Trucks

The wife and I are thinking of making the trek out to BRC from Columbus Ohio this year. I would be awesome if we could find a truck headed in the same direction!

The Pistil

Hey everyone! I am charged with the task of recreating the pistil inside of the man base for the virtual burn inside of second life this October.

Would anyone happen to have any idea on how to get in touch with the creator, or where I could get my hands on some blueprints?

One persons steampunk is another persons "what in the hell is that?". *giggles uncontrollably* Seriously tho, "Steampunk" is a really amorphous sort of phenomenon with very multinational influences. Saying that is strictly Victorian would be doing it a disservice. I mean, there were other countries...

I was so glad I got to see the contraption moving under its own power! Seeing it certainly was one of the high points of my trip. And it was really cool to Mr LeChat - if only briefly :) Big thanks to you sir for making sure that FC's equipment made it to the Bomb Bay Tea Co. safely - the camp would...
