RV Frig - Vent protection

Im in Reno & getting ready to head to the playa. This is the 1st year I'm bringing a Class-A motorhome that is fully functional. It's a 1992 Southwind, with a newer frig. I could have sworn I've seen RV's with vent's taped over their frig vents, possibly angling down to keep wind from carrying t...

Eplaya represents roughly 3% of the on-playa peeps you will encounter, if that. But I do miss the snarky comments... 14 days until on-playa! woOhOo!!

Mt Helix/La Mesa area here. :)

But we'll be leaving for Hawaii on the 15th, so we'll miss our local burn. May supplement by hitting the SF Decom the week before...

Love the SD burners we've met, and always up for a local event, so don't be shy with the invites... ;)

Re: Doesn't the new theme get posted right after the Man bur

Aha! I can see it now... BRC 2012 - Theme - End of sanity - Revenge of the BMOrg. Ticket Status? - No tickets will be sold or needed, instead you will need 3 or more tickets from any previous events (must be different years) to gain entry. Love the ticket idea Sue. Or, if only there was a way to gi...

Re: RV Windows

We used silver bubble wrap from Home Depot last year- it helped. I wouldn't say it was a miracle, but it definitely helped. Use something like gaffers tape, not masking tape to hold it down. Gaffers is designed to hold well but come up easy, we all know what happens if masking is left too long. I h...

RV Windows

Does covering your windows help with reducting heat? If so, what have you used in the past to cover them? Something taped up / semi-permanent? Or just blinds? We just used our drapes but didn't know if there was a better way to keep an old travel trailer cool. I did like being able to look at them o...

Re: Old travel trailer roof question

Kinda depends on your trailer. Do you know the construction? Steel, wood, aluminum? No. Not sure about the wall construction. Didn't come with a manual, and the goverment must be blocking my online searches for a manual for an old beatup trailer, so I'm not knowing... I'll check the door jams and s...

Old travel trailer roof question

This will be the 2nd year we're bringing out our 1977 Excel Travel Trailer. Even though it's in decent condition, I know the roof won't support the weight of Danielle & I, and possibly a few more friends. We were planning on building a free-standing platform that would sit above the RV for a lou...
