She ran like a champ! No problems either way! I got her in to a mechanic in Reno and the starter tested bad. My mechanic in Silver Springs put in a Napa starte earlier in the summer and apparently it was defective. There was no charge for the replacement starter. Once we got that replaced she was g...

Re: Top Asshats of 2012

We had a drunk stranger wreck his bike and start cussing out his girl in the middle of our camp. I made sure it wasn't going to get violent when people started making animal sounds. He had a meltdown and rode off in such a drunken huff that he instantly angered again, and smacked his nuts on the fr...

Ah, but Mosin, I do speak as a parent. And you could use a little maturity your own self, seems to me. Sorry. However low you think someone's coming from, it's never a winning combination for you to slide on down there yourself.... And I say that without taking sides. It's just good common sense. W...

Guys, lets keep this on topic. Burning Man forums are now for Cialis and NFL discussions ONLY.   My probably unpopular take on this: She was a 15yr old who tantrum'd off. That said, we're a community, and when our community loses somebody, our community stops what they're doing until that person is found. There will be two radically opposing views to follow in this thread. Those like me who are adamant that BM should be an 18+ event, and those who argue that we are simply anti-child playa hatas. Now where did that popcorn emoticon go? Call me capricious, but I'm going to assume you're a near-sighted...

Re: What's your favorite / must have food item on the playa?

Pillsbury Cinnamon rolls (if u have an oven... most RV's do). Wait until the third or fourth day, then bust 'em out. I suggest buying a few tubes, as the smell usually draws a crowd. Especially recommended for those like me whose favorite resaurant is Cinnabon. ;) I might add, Nutella and saltine cr...

I love my Worksman Port-o Trike (single speed) and have used it every day at the past five burns. It is comfy, relaxing, and can carry five large bags of ice if you lean the stack towards your lower back (ahhhhhh :)). My main problem is any time the playa isn't hard packed... it can be impossible to...

Re: RV Catastrophes: Post your story!

To avoid the most sketchy of rv catastrophes (next to rolling over on 447 of course) I suggest doing a propane leakdown test (or having one done) and making sure any RV you plan to sleep in has functioning smoke and CO2 detectors.
