as far as jeep and hummer go well those are both brand names, well jeep was actually slang used in the WWII era for untested equipment, and the name stuck, never was there a jeep called the jeep. well... CJ does stand for Civilian Jeep you know... and were sold as a model before the Jeep *brand* ex...
