All of my stuff that goes to BM usually just becomes designated 'playa-only.' I'm just too lazy to take the time to wash things properly. Good thing I have a big basement.....

I experienced my quickest entry and exit ever.

Entry was Tuesday around noon - line at gate took about 20 minutes

Exodus was Sunday around noon - drove right up to the '15-30 minute wait section' - time from camp to 447 was less than an hour.

Not sure if you realized this, but the strobe lights on the paddling skeletons only fired when the wheel was spinning at a certain RPM (to make the illusion work correctly.) I was able to drive right up to the community center on Tuesday around noon and get my water jugs filled with no wait and no hassle. The people were extremely friendly and seemed happy to help. Of course that's a 'point in time' experience, but was the same experience I had filling water in Gerlach ...

This morning I checked out our local (Boulder, CO) paper to see what the news has been in the last week while I was at the burn. One of the most prominent stories is of a college student that lost both her legs just yesterday trying to hop a train. No matter how many people say "it's easy"...

I bought a cheap $34 'Wenzel' tent, upgraded the poles and used a gluegun and extra fabric to cover the mesh (I still had 2 zippable windows if needed for ventilation.) Only dust that got in was the stuff I dragged in on my feet and clothes.
