Heavy Duty Silver Tarp Quality
So we all know that heavy duty silver tarps are the way to go out on the playa. I had a pretty nice little 12' x 30' monkey hut last year made out of some free PVC and craiglist tarps. This year I decided to upgrade the size of my hut so I ordered a 20' x 30' tarp online at tarpaflex.com. First they...

professorzed, thats what I was suspecting but now I know for sure! It would be really cool to build a tall bike (or trike?), but unfortunately I don't have access to the proper welding equipment at the moment... hopefully when I move I'll be able to set up a little metal working studio for myself an...

Making a smaller bike "bigger"
So I recently bought a really crappy playa bike for $40. The bike I had last year was much nicer and taller, which is important because I am 6'2" and if I tend to get some back pain going on if I ride for too long on a bike that is too small for me... the downside of last year's bike was that the ti...

dragopilot, how did the construction of that structure work? Which size PVC was used as the vertical supports and how were the edges put together? oneeyedick, actually, the aluminet came from gothicgreenhouses... it ended up being kinda expensive. My buddy and I built a little X type dome thing, str...

Shade structure question
So its about to be that time of year again as I'm sure you all know and I am working on putting together a worthwhile shade structure for me and my hearties. So far what I've got is this: 1 12'x20' piece of 70% aluminet shade cloth 2 swiss snow tarps 4 6 way fittings for 2" gavelized steel fence pos...

I guess what I am debating is whether I should stick with the aluminet or change my order to 90% black shade cloth. I read elsewhere that the shade cloth works just as well or better than the aluminet. I read that here: http://tinyurl.com/5zjeh9

a few aluminet questions
Last year when I was a virgin I slept very poorly due to the hot morning sun. This time around I am determined to get enough sleep. The last few days I have been doing some research and finally settled on buying some 70% aluminet. Today I bought a nice big 21'x14' piece to make a shade structure to ...
