Ugly Dougly, I'm running AM47 by anyone who will bother to read it. I'm sick and I'm broke and of the handful of people who beleived in me, one has died suddenly and another had a breakdown. So I'm basically floating out here alone offering strangers a chance to get in on something that might just ...

Re: ACLU Camp for 2009

This is not due to a strong police presence, but rather relatively low illegal actvity among the participants. Now, thats just a lie. I read somewhere along the way, that there were 8 arrests this year. I am not sure if that number is correct, but I saw a huge amount of police activity along the Es...

Re: Mutant vehicle - figuring horsepower required?

Could someone with more engineering brain than I help with a MV question? We have a working design for an MV and are trying to guess how large an engine it will need. Figure it will have 15" tires (spindles, hubs, etc from a boat trailer), would need to move about 2600 lbs (9 people @ ~175lbs each ...

I have to admit the staff was quite rude - although some friends of mine were inside, the scamps at the door did not admit me. And I was dressed to the nines in a pinstripe suit and neatly-knotted necktie! Hopefully this organization or whatever it is will not be allowed back to the playa this year ...

I camped with a friend who had a 20 footer - they are quite easy to work with if you are stronger than a small child. Watch out for the wind, though - extra pipes (be sure to match interior diameter, exterior diameter, and length) are a must, as is twine for other repairs. Ease of setup is pretty am...

but who would you rather have running the BLM:

McCain,

Obama?

and if Obama's elected, I guarantee there will be at least a couple or five of burners who are appointed as (or who are close friends with) high-level Interior Dept. appointees.
