Re: '14 cheers and jeers
I'm sure it was a moment of thoughtlessness, a mistake on their part. Also you're a huge mooper, you left a ~4ft ~30lb hunk of steel for restoration crew to deal with. Fucking asshole.
Probably should have made your art more sturdy too.

*The guy who parked his bike against my art car at the Embrace Burn. The handlebars poked a nice hole through the outer shell. I hope you found it later (not really), as I moved it about a 100 yds away into another jumble of bikes. Asshole! You stole somebodies bike. You're an even bigger asshole, ...

Re: Plug n plays running amuk
I'm not complaining that they are rich, I'm complaining that they are in camps that don't seem to provide anything to the community, just the rich people in the camp. This is the crux of the issue for me also. I'd even go a bit further and say that: not only are they not providing to the greater co...

Re: Get Your Coolers Off The Ground
Yah the plywood seems unnecessary- and also, I think the key here is to have air, a great insulator, running below your cooler. I've used 2x4s in the past, but just used a couple extra scraps of rebar to get it off the ground this year.

Re: I want to make a mutant vehicle for BM
Some folks have really pretty sad excuses for an art car that seem more like a cheap excuse to drive around on the playa. a "vehicle with lots of lights strung on it" that so many of those art cars were. FYI a lot of the not well decorated vehicles out there are approved and used by mobility impair...

Re: MOOP and the Future of the Burn.
I saw some nightmarish moop scenes around sunrise this year. I'd fill my bike basket with cans and keg cups but I can only carry so much. I was pretty disgusted. Don't get me started on fucking feathers. I saw soooo many feather headdresses this year. Once again, it seems a more powerful and/or effe...

Re: post what you didn't like about 2011 here
But there was a stinky vibe all around the playa this year, who knows. Funny, I didn't find the vibe much different than last year- It did take me a couple days to 'get into it', but I blame a bike-theft scare (turned out OK!) and a bit of jadedness on that. By Wednesday I was back in the full swin...

Hi Spiff. That fucking sucks. I think I met you at the reddit meetup Wednesday....did your costume include a Korg Monotron that I asked you about? I was the guy who brought homemade pickles. What pisses me off the most about this is that nobody stopped the guy. I would have chased him down, no shit....

Re: What turns you off/on about DJs at Burning Man?
I hate that most of the DJs just play banger after banger after banger. It gets old reaaaaaaaaaaaaal quick. Soften it out once in a while- create dynamics, a vibe, a journey for you audience. I love dubstep, but the 99% of dubstep I hear out there is just candy raver, aggro-distortion, testosterone ...
