Re: Parallel Honda eu2000s with a eu3000
If you put the two together they will both try to carry equal load until the lowest output Honda overloads and trips to standby mode. They the remaining generators will pick up the load. If there are just a total of 2 generators then the second one will trip if it is not more than twice as strong as...

I would be curious how the anchors we use would hold up to the testing:

This is also a link to the rebar puller we use in camp.

2 Lazy Tim or Tim Too Lazy - We found your hat
Found a nice leather cowboy hat/top hat and you took the time to put your name in it so we would like to get it back. PM me and we can figure out a way to get it delivered. I still have this item after a couple of PMs that did not find me the owner.

Re: Possible Solutions for Lack of Vehicle Passes
And just to be sure, the OMG sale will allow the purchase of just a vehicle pass without having to buy a BM ticket, right?

Re: Possible Solutions for Lack of Vehicle Passes
And I am not saying all those ideas are my first ideas, if you want to run a theme camp at Burning Man you have to have like 4 different plans to get stuff done. If we score 2 passes in the OMG sale all is good but if we don't, it's either get creative or feed the scalpers.

Re: Possible Solutions for Lack of Vehicle Passes
So they will sell me just vehicle passes in the OMG sale? That will solve all the problems. We don't need any more tickets for the event but did not realize that I can buy just vehicle passes in the OMG sale. I will go that route and save these alternative ideas.

Possible Solutions for Lack of Vehicle Passes
I run a theme camp and with our camp membership we do almost all carpooling (13 vehicles for 40 people). When we bought our tickets I estimated the number of vehicle passes we would need and designated members of camp to purchase them. Since that time we had our art car approved and added a trailere...

Re: Directed Ticket Sales (does each invite get 2 tickets?)
Thanks Eric. That is also how I read it but just wanted to be certain as a mistake would be rather disasterous. Do you know how many invites were given for the 15,000 tickets? If they gave 15,000 invites I could see the competition being pretty fierce if each person took 2.

Directed Ticket Sales (does each invite get 2 tickets?)
I was invited to participate in the directed sales that start Jan 30th. As a camp lead I was offered a certain number of spots. It seems that for each spot a person will be able to purchase 2 tickets, so if I have 3 spots, I can pretty much assume we will get 6 tickets. Am I right in this assumption...

Re: Directed group sale tix
FYI, as a camp lead I just got my directed ticket invite just now. It says that on January 30th when the sale opens I will be able to invite camp members for the limited spots they allocated for me. The number of spots was predetermined by someone somewhere. Hope that info helps.

Average Dust Storm, Burning Man 2010
For those that have never been in a Burning Man dust storm here is just a quick clip from 2010 of an average event. The filming took place at Altitude Lounge, a 40 foot tall tower we build. At the top we have viewing platforms, couches, bar, and LED beacon. It's nice because when you get 30 - 40 fee...

Re: Graph of tickets available vs minimum price on StubHub
I updated the graph with today's current data. It looks like supply is trending up and price is trending down. My belief is that as soon as paper tickets get distributed those trends will move much quicker creating more tickets for much less money. It is my thought that most scalpers on StubHub are ...

Re: Graph of tickets available vs minimum price on StubHub
Sorry abut the confusion, it was not a graph of the highest priced tickets on StubHub but rather the cheapest ticket. It is a basic indicator of the secondary market and a rough indicator of demand. I thought it was nice to see that we may have hit a high for ticket value and that as value drops, pe...

Re: Shut the FUCK up about virgins.
I think that the best thing that could happen would be a year when all they allowed was Virgins. Even the people setting up the man and putting up the trash fence. Imagine all the opportunity and new ideas that would happen if it was an all virgin BM event.

Yeah, that was also a little puzzling to my friends and I. We were like...why would you not bring backup stuff to BM.. especially if you are a superstar DJ? It would be like some superstar band forgetting guitar picks and canceling the show. If nothing else, at least have some CDs or a second tier o...

Not a cop. Just a weird dude. I am sure the person asked about paraphernalia to make sure they didn't get caught up in a ride gone bad if you were to get pulled over. They probably used the best legal term they know to make sure you understood. What juristrisction would let an officer ride in a car ...

That set you were talking about was played by Myagi & his emcee. Check back at the OT website in a couple of months as sometimes CDs and Podcasts become available. It is pretty much up to the artist to decide what we can do with their sets from Opulent.

Large Camp Evolution at BM
This topic seems a little beat up but I figured I might give a shot at a reply. I think what we are seeing here is camp evolution. A camp starts with a good idea and fresh energy. It moves its way along and gathers energy and people. Each year the camp tries to out do itself and become larger and mo...

Check you pass numbers
While probably completely obvious, be sure to check the serial numbers on the passes to make sure you weren't just issued the same pass twice. That would be even more drama. Our camp was fortunate enough to ask for 5 passes and get 5 a couple of weeks ago but I found this thread to be interesting to...

GPS Maps
I loaded the GPS map of Black Rock City onto my GPs but when I did it erased all my city select maps and Topo maps. Is it possible to have the BRC map and the topo map on the GPs at the same time? I am using a garmin 530HCX with a 1 MB Micrs SD card.
Thanks!
