Re: Climbable Structures

OP is super vague. Could be art, could be a camp thing, who knows. Is it wood, metal, plastic ... Does it need to be anchored? Is there a wind profile/loading concern? Artery may or may not be the relevant entity. If it’s a camp only thing, may be a fuck-all and just build it. Seen plenty 2-3 story ...

Re: Climbable Structures

The state doesn’t do any inspections or review of structurals out there. Just use sound construction practices, do your calculations, be ready to defend the design. If there is a BORG department that is involved like placed art, you burning it down, etc. contact them directly and discuss. BTW, 16 fe...

Re: Greeter Bypass For Early Entry

2001 - 2007 no guardians. 2007 1/2 onward, guardians, curators, “oh look at me, I’m important and have authority”, etc. I don’t volunteer for anything BORG. I’ve built big art, mutant vehicles, flame effects, fire conclave 8 years, performed on stage for countless events. It’s my vacation and I ain’...

What we really need is a second 747 identical to the one already there so they can join them ass-end to ballast the thing and make the worlds biggest teeter-totter.

Load it up, get the rave going, retract both nose wheels half way. Let the party rage!

Dramamine for everyone!!!

Re: Greeter Bypass For Early Entry

That is all kinds of funny! And now a gentle reminder of the original purpose of the greeters before it devolved into the amateur comedy hour hug-fest dust angel debauchery ... Greeters was the one place the BORG can cram propaganda down your throat and tell the BLM and county that they educated the...

My guess is everyone (including first timers) will head for an express line. Wouldn’t that jam a whole fucklot of culture? It would be hilarious! Just imagine all the dejected greeters crying into their electrolyte water. Take it a step further and replace all the lanterns with solar LEDs and watch...

The Oregon Country Fair is a little different then the Nevada regional.
Ha! The only thing OCF has in common with TTITD is that it’s held outdoors.

It’s a hippie-fest. Nothing more.

The article author is clueless and their drivel is mildly annoying.

Re: Biggest MOOP in the history of Burning Man

I'm just struggling, hearing so many people who spout love of art, free expression, radical inclusion, embracing the "weird", (and embrace "non judgemetalism"), turn on this like a pack of jackals. Aren’t you caught in an endless loop of criticizing the critics for being critical? You can’t adjudic...

That will be real tough without a reliable internet connection. Voice AI is practically a commodity these days but all the smarts is in the cloud. Re: Greeter Bypass For Early Entry

This is the kind of thing you would do if you were running an experiment in community and culture. But who does that crazy thing anymore. Would cost the BORG nothing to have a lane or two for folks who don’t give a flying fuck about greeters. Put down an automated magnetic counter and have data for ...

If you have the original citation in hand, any attorney should be able to help you.

You can contact the local BAR association in the jurisdiction most pertinent to your situation.

NV and Washoe county have BAR associations.

Good Luck.

This is why there is a long standing tradition of building real big stuff out of wood.

You know, immediacy, temporary and all that blather.

Much has been lost from the Temporary Autonomous Zone concept.
