... there are regulations for flamethrowers, of course ... Actually, there aren’t any regulations on Flame Throwers in 48 US states. California has outlawed them, and either Maryland or Massachusetts... can’t remember which. It’s very ironic that some of the most brutal weapons of war are basically...

I think it would have been more impressive if they had just built it and burned it like they did "Wall Street".
True That.

Lots of BM things that did not embrace the “temporary” aspect of TTITD didn’t end well.

Body burns have been turnkey for a while in the stunt industry. Practically a commodity item these days. Kevlar, Nomex, Kynol gloves, sleeves, etc. Gel based thermal barriers and the likes. Look up Amspec Inc in LA. The Stunt supply company. We got some of their jerk-vests and harnesses when we did ...

Not questioning the whole 747 as art thing, just the logic behind the MV thinking.

Re: has burning man *actually* gotten worse?

There is a big difference between legit liquid fuel flame throwers and propane flame effects. Old-school liquid flame throwers are a no-no. Art is fucking art. Taco Boy walking around the Playa with his junk in a taco was art. Uchronia was art even tho it got used as a big-ass rave playground and a Lexus commercial. The bleachers by The Goat Rodeo where the bullhorn heckled FKOs as they shoved their heads up a goat’s ass - fucking art! ...

You can seek, search and scour the internets far and wide.

But

Ask yourself this question.

“How would you describe the BM principal of ‘Immediacy’ to someone”?

It is a Temporary Autonomous Zone, with emphasis on temporary.
