Re: International burners - the challenge for not having a home in US

Does Misa ever check in around here anymore? Misablue is her screen name. She's from the Czech Republic, started out on eplaya. Went to the event. Went again. Brought more first timers from Czech. Led a CORE burn... So, it's completely possible. Ah, and the Wires, from Norway. ELWire, Tripwire, I've...

Re: The Bar 2016 Edition

Some days, I have burning athlete's foot, others it's horrible road rash on the top, even creeping up my legs.

I hate it.

Gimme a Pago-Pago Octopus, please.

Re: The person below me

I regard fireplaces as places that produce airborn toxins that fall on you during earthquakes. (The fireplaces--or at least the chimneys fall, the toxins just get inhaled.) It's less that I want to clean it out to make it, than I feel I should clean it out and brick it up before birds nest in it aga...

Re: The Bar 2016 Edition

I figure the reason they left the aqueduct/rivers open as they run through the state was not only cost of construction/maintenance, and that by having it open air it made for better evap and supporting wildlife. I'm dubious about the idea of their supporting wildlife. I think the water managers don...

No. But I was tickled to see my phrase "Lone Ticketing Genius" in a thread title. That now I think about, maybe have been an old title retitled. The gods, and Trilobyte, work in mysterious ways.

Re: Suggested Couples Therapy Camp

I'm sure there's something around Tahoe. Or Shasta. All locations at the burn are subject to viewsheds containing ramshackle camp construction. And while it's important to be aware of any partners' needs, the burn isn't really a couple's therapy type place.

One year (before they start color-coding them) ESD had at least a few lanyards from a Bail Bonds company. I think someone got a pile of them for free, so they figured, "Why not?" I remember that. Scott wouldn't use them--he was rather square, in a way. It may have been more than one...

There used to be a function that let you read all the threads that had unread posts in them, lined up from newest to oldest. Once I no longer read everything on the board, it was quite useful. Now, I'm jumping from sub-forum to sub-forum in an awkward way. I liked it and miss it.
