Re: Lost HTC one - Friday in Mid-Playa

Still hoping.... if you think the one you found is not mine, can you let me know that too?

Then I can give up hope. :(

Re: Lost HTC one - Friday in Mid-Playa

Oh God! Please tell me it's mine.

The background is a pic I took during pre-event of the coyote and the man. I can actually verify the photo exactly, since I had already uploaded it.
If you think it's mine, please email me at eventfarm@yahoo.com and I'll give more details.

Lost HTC one - Friday in Mid-Playa

My HTC one popped out of my bike basket on Friday. Lost and Found didn't get it turned in, so I'm hoping that someone knows someone who picked it up.

Sorry about the delay's, technical difficulties, etc. The BMIR team has been working night and day to get things up and running. Listen at http://www...

I was able to listen yesterday with no problem, but today I only get the "sponsored by" message and then ... nothing.

Is it just me?

more than meets the eye....

When I first heard about this, I too thought that 4 years was too much for burning the man early. However, a tiny bit of research indicates that he did need to get off the streets: - carrying explosives with an intent to detonate - threats of murder - pulling guns on people He's a disturbed man... h...

North Pole Party Shade Crawl

Ok - anyone still up for this? In this thread --> http://eplaya.burningman.org/viewtopic.php?t=29107 , it was tossed around to do a north pole party shade (NPPS) structure crawl. I'm game to herd the cats to organize. I'll toss out Friday at 2pm as a time, but that's without looking at the WWWW to d...

suggestions?

It really sucks ythat camps were not placed simply due to not enough space. It seems to me that hard work should be rewarded and camps should lose placement only for explainable reasons. I mean, did they randomly arrange the camps and just work down the list until they ran out of room? I hope there ...

This has been something I've been struggling with as well. I'm flying into Reno. My issue with buying everything I need there is that it leaves me with the same problem after the week is up - how do i get the stuff home? So I really can't buy into the "buy it all there". So I've been really careful ...

how thick was the batting that you used? I can't go the route of using the nylon/adhesive as I live in texas and the mesh will be very handy when camping locally. I also experimented with using the rain fly velcroed on to the tent to cover the mesh (it covers it all), but it got really stuffy in the...

another idea for mesh on tents

Ok, so I go to put up my tent to make sure I know how to do it and the thing it 75% mesh!! So, I can go buy a new tent, seal the mesh, or ? But I'm thinking that air flow is a good thing, I found that you can buy air filter material in bulk rolls. I'm thinking of creating a velcro on air fil...

humm..

I never saw another gate.... it was a little dark and I was way distracted by the flashing lights and fire in the distance. :) Ok, so I bring two sets of freezy pops - 1 for the ticket takers and one for the greeters. I'll let them know that I'm a born again virgin... I love it! Thanks for the info!

greeter fail

I had heard that the greeters are as fabulous as everyone here is saying. Unfortunately, last year (my first year) I arrived at 2 am on Thursday morning. I was telling my travelmates all the traditions as we pulled in. The greeter only asked to see our tickets and look in the back of the camper. No ...

Snakes

Phil,

I've been trying all weekend to get my friend's snake to eat my solar flashlight. He wants nothing to do with it....

If I can't get this down him, I'm not sure the snake thing will work out.

Shipping to the post office is a good idea! Thanks!

I will see if I can hook up the haul ride from Austin, but shipping to postmaster is a good backup plan.

thanks for the ideas!

clarification

Sorry, didn't mean to imply buy "there" as in on the Playa. I meant "there" as in Reno.

As for the rideshare - did have an ad on there - it was overwritten... twice.
I'll do that again at some point.

However, rather than alternatives, I guess I'm hoping for tips to help lighten everything up...

How to get everything on the plane?

Hello! This is my second year, but I'm going to call myself a virgin for various reasons. The one that is most applicable to this post is that I didn't have to bring very much last year as I was there for a Very Short Time. This year, however, I'm able to go for longer stay (still short by most stan...
