House is an immensely broad style. Large sound camps are homed at the very edge of 2 and 10 - you can look up last year on the detailed moop map, then contact them. There are past year major camp DJ lists. Search, we will not search for you. Your best bet is your regional, they are much more connect...

Adding to Mr Trilobyte's suggestion... Your Regional Burning Man Group is the best resource for finding a camp. What is a Regional you may ask? If you search the burningman.org website you can find all about Regionals. Reach out to the nearest one to you and make friends! Then ask them about camps a...

We are much too busy riding around on our high horses to know of such things. You could apply at Sherpa Beth's Indentured Servitude Agency and USS is always hiring. Generally this is a much better question for Reddit - they are experts on everything!

Re: The basic problem with modern BRC

Here's an idea: You know what's wrong with BRC? The location. If we really want to bring BRC back to its roots, take it off playa. I'm serious: move it somewhere new. Montana? South Dakota? Texas? There's plenty of open land in the country (and the world!), and moving it out of driving range of the...

Re: New new new lost where to begin

Hey welcome! The event can be a life changing catharsis. It takes a lot of preparation, like a packing list. It can be useful to say where you are geographically. And as BBadger says, look up regionals on burningman.org and read all the preparation material. Once you connect with your regional there...

I think there is a lot of unnecessary bullying going on on this thread. I think we should encourage new profiles and let profiles be involved for a year with dozens of posts before unleashing that on them. (I've been here for a while, you can scold or disagree with me anytime. I ignore it.) In the m...

Re: Beware of Tribal Spirit

It shocks me to see how much cynism there is out there about this. Lots of new burners want to experience the community spirit so they join a camp, and in hopes to meet new people and to have a great burn. The camp, to be honest, seemed like a well-organised one, and everyone was encouraged to brin...

I know plastic/glass is a religious war, but I use glass lenses for scratch resistance, my prescription is mild. Playa dust has a lot of silica grit that scratches. It is easy to label your glasses with a name, camp location and phone. If you need glasses to pilot a motor vehicle out, carry a set de...

OP, your experienced burners know that a good tool to find villages is the high resolution map from last year. Not every village has a name village. https://bm-phoenix.s3.amazonaws.com/large-media/MOOP_MAP_2018_51_x_35_300dpi.jpg It looks like you are about 50x50, so you can see which villages fit y...

The basic problem with modern BRC is it is a business because of its size. Therefore it makes short term business decisions which produce hard-to-reverse longer term impacts. That produces every distortion. The lack of preparedness is just one problem. My #1 Bad club behavior. #2 Festival-spectator ...

There was a quote in the RGI by Mark Hall, who is the decision maker for the EIS, to the effect of the mitigations are for problems. So the most effective approach is "we can solve the problem associated with each event-ending-expensive mitigation this other way," Denying the problem that lead to th...

Chill out there. You can choose to look at any problem from a variety of viewpoints. It's unfortunately common to choose victimhood. Instead choose power. Washoe County and the BLM benefit financially from the event. If the BLM allows it to be killed, they will be killing the golden goose, and all t...

It entirely depends on the orientation and behavior of your campers. I use .5 - .75 G per shower in a self-supplied solar shower. Kitchen water is another equation, especially with a three tub system under health regulation guidance. Washing/rinsing/sanitizing dishes needs water. Orient campers to m...

If you do a search for "canopy fittings," you will find many inexpensive suppliers, including in Yuma, AZ. Hello! There aren't that many villages. If you go to the list of last year's theme camps on the BMORG website, they are easy to locate and reach out to the ones you think might match.

I doubt many villages are reading ePlaya to find camps to add.
