I went for it Token, and will definitely report back. Apparently this particular model is purchased by a lot of Burners -- the folks at the store that sells it say they know it's for BM when they get an order in. I'm optimistic, but also bringing extra rope to tie down the sides.

Re: High?

High as in height -- last year I used a dome tent that I could barely sit up in. Relatively short, and relatively wind-resistant.

Opinions Needed on Trek 287 Tent B4 Purchase

After looking through Tribe.net postings on tents, I found a good review on this one: http://grizzlymike.com/camping/TREK/TREK_TENT_TWO_ROOM_13X8_MODEL_237.HTML It's built like a super-discount model of a Kodiak or Vagabond in that is is able to be completely zippered up with no mesh at all. Anyone ...

Double high airbeds -- why don't more ppl have them?

This year I'm considering going with a double-high queen airbed b/c my tent will have a very high ceiling and I won't feel cramped. These beds seem quite luxurious for BM and I'm surprised I haven't seen more of them -- thus I'm thinking there might be some logistical reason that more folks don't us...

Need opinions on a tent I'm about to buy

Hi all, I've been doing a lot of research on affordable, relatively mesh-free tents with stand-up space and plenty of storage/sleeping room and I think I've found the answer. The Coleman Bayside 6 or 8 meets most of these requirements. Here's the link to the tent, take a look and let me know your th...

NYC Burner-Friendly Halloween Parties?

Hi all, I'm planning to be in the city for Halloween this year and want to know if there are any burner/burner friendly Halloween parties happening that anyone knows of. I know that the NYC decomp is the week before Halloween so that may mean that there's not a big official party, but I bet that my ...
