Re: Comfy shoes for the ladies?

I was pretty happy with my all-black Converse knee high boots, though the zipper did start to get stuck a little due to the dust. And they will never again be black. Oh well.

Re: Need help seeking the right camp...

Thanks for your replies, that one thread was particularly helpful. My question still stands about finding a theme camp though.

Re: Need help seeking the right camp...

Sorry to be confusing, I did mean a power grid to hook up to. My fiance seems to think that's important. I personally think it's the minority of camps that has power, and usually to power something else like speakers or lights. It's our first time taking an RV and he's not sure how much gas we reall...

Need help seeking the right camp...

This will be my third big burn and I am going with my fiance (his second time) and my 63-year old dad for his first time. We are sharing an RV and a camp with RV hookups would be a big plus for us. I have been browsing ePlaya but figured I'd post in case anyone has a suggestion for us. The only camp...

I sliced my finger open pitting an avocado early in the week which was incredibly stupid of me. I know how to pit an avocado the right/safe way, but for some reason I just wanted to get that pit on the tip of my knife, and instead the knife went all the way through the avocado and sliced open my lef...

This is one of my funniest playa memories. I remember reading about it in the WWW guide and someone at camp decided they were pretty sure it meant they were here live. I was a bit skeptical but went by myself later that night anyway. The entire block was absolutely PACKED with people and bikes, and ...

Anyone have experience with the pStyle?

It's a product I found on the Lunapads website that helps you pee standing up [for women duh]. Wondering if anyone has any experience with it on the playa or in general, I'm thinking about getting one for the playa this year. http://www.lunapads.com/product.aspx?ProductID=166&deptid=6 Thanks in adva...

Springbar Outfitter Tent

Virgin burner here, looking to buy a tent for regionals / BM and also attending Pennsic this year, which is two weeks of camping in PA. I'm thinking of investing in a Springbar Outfitter: http://www.springbar.com/explore/compact/outfitter_tent.html I live in Florida and want a tent that will be easi...

I really like this idea! I am going to BM for the first time this year, and my good friend I thought was coming just backed out, so I will most probably be traveling there and camping with people I'm not completely comfortable around. I went to a regional for the first time in November and found how...

Ready for 2009!

Hello all! I first found out about Burning Man in January 2007. I forget exactly how but I decided to Google it since I had heard its name dropped many times, and stayed up really late poring over burningman.com. I haven't stopped thinking about it since then! It hasn't been possible to attend just ...
