Re: Want to share an RV?

I have a trailer that "sleeps 5" and I find that 2 people are somewhat tight in there.
Also keep in mind that fresh water tanks are tiny and empty quickly, gray water and black water tanks will be full within a day or two. Expect 1 minutes showers if that is the plan.

Right, or 3 of these in rotation: 1 full heating up on top of the car, 1 in the shower being used, 1 empty ready to be refilled. sshr.jpg After nearly 2 decades on the playa, I have come to the indisputable conclusion that this is the only way to go. We have had new camp mates come in with drawings...

Re: Transfer tickets after shipping

Most likely if you're meeting a person face to face, the ticket is valid. Caution is good, but don't get consumed. The tickets are printed on high grade ticket stock and are embossed with art and printing and have a hologram on them for security. In the past, people have shown up at the gate with ch...

Hi guys, Unfortunately I cannot attend this year to Burningman thanks to an unexpected wedding. I paid for the ticket 1200$ and I can sell it for a little less. Please let me know if anyone is interested so I can transfer the ticket to the right person. Cheers, Juan How come none of the people who ...

Re: Did I plan this out wrong?

Is Tuesday that much easier to leave on? Many people start breaking down their camps on Saturday so they can leave right after the Man burn on Saturday night. Others spend all day Sunday breaking things down for a quick exit right after the Temple burn on Sunday night. Monday is the last day of the...

I am flying into Sacramento. Leaving I for some reason also planned to fly out of Sacramento. I planned on leaving on the 3rd.getting to Sacramento at night and staying at a hotel and fly on on the fourth. I am driving solo at this point though that may change. 40x60 plus a perimeter needed is a massive amount of ground space required for your set-up. Will you need space for the keepers of the game to camp as well? Are you planning on bringing any of your own infrastructure of camp that you could possibly add to a camp?

Welcome to eplaya Mama Ricci. Many people find the trip to Black Rock City extremely therapeutic. Everybody burns their own way, but I think you'll find the Temple particularly poignant this year. You could spend some very quiet time at the Temple and leave some notes, a letter, photos or mementos t...

I camp pretty close to Center Camp. It gets pretty busy and loud at all hours of the day and night. You are in a quieter neighborhood, but can easily get to action. Moving closer down towards the Esplanade will improve the excitement.

Our camp lead just "assumed the position". I'll call her Pat. She saw so many gaps in the way things were run, so she stepped up and made great spreadsheets, and started organizing meals and tasks around the camp. She was very careful not to make it appear that she was stepping on toes, but rather c...

Any tips on getting fuel to the playa? I’ll be renting a van but I’m pretty sure having (3) 5 gallon tanks in the back isn’t a good idea. Why do you need 15 gallons of gas on the playa? Is this for a vehicle? There are very specific guidelines for storing gasoline at Burning Man. https://burningman...

My best guess is that a bunch of the 5000 bikes left on the playa were bikes "borrowed" because they weren't locked. Bikes that are taken like that are just left where they land. The owners never find them. There is another interesting phenomenon that's happened to me many times. I leave my bike on ...
