Taping the edges in
Well, I decided not to take any chances and seamed my board edges with the 6" filament tape. It kinda worked out, it really toughens up the boards and it ended up to be a great clamp to help keep the two boards together while the glue dried between them. We're giving up on trying to waterproof with ...

Taping the Yurt
I know the pain of the paying for the tape myself, but it's a must in the standard design. The only other alternative to tape that I've found is something called Collision Wrap, Crash Wrap, or Collision film. We use this stuff in the car business to wrap up wrecked cars like plastic wrap on leftover...

A couple questions and somethings I found that might help
My search for polyisocyanurate panels (R-Max, Tuff-R, etc)has been a bust so far except for special order from Lowe's that comes with a two month lead time. Which at this point is way to close for comfort. I live in NC and this stuff isn't used in building construction around here. So, I looked into...

The evaporation at a swamp cooler should be taking place at the pad that where the moisture enters the system. It should be blowing cool damp air into the yurt. If you were going to put a vent at the peak of the roof you could potentially put a damp swamp cooler pad at your air intake without needi...

I have an idea I want to bounce off you all and see what you think. BM 09 will be my first time and I'm going with a Hexayurt. What I was thinking of using for ventilation is a 12v inline bilge blower and a cone style car air filter on the roof. The blower neck will protrude thru a hole from under t...

To be exact 1 out of every 462 1984 Fiero's burned to the ground due to cheap connecting rods that were made by an outside supplier. All effected engines were recalled and repair according to GM. The Fiero use's the 2.0 litre "Iron Duke" 4cyl or the 2.8 Litre 6cyl mounted to a standard X body front ...

I think a good base vehicle to use would be an early Saturn or Pontiac Fiero, these are built on space frames with removable Duraflex Panels. You can strip all the panels off in about two hours (with practice), what's left behind is barely recognizable as a car and it's still fully functional. It'll...

[quote="Gietzen"]PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, don't just give out crap for the hell of it. a gift should have some meaning. If you're just handing out crappy necklaces to random strangers to say that you gave gifts, well I think you don't really see the point. Honestly some form of connection should be mad...
