Re: Wohnmobil sharing - sharing RV as Camp

+100 to what Gaminwench said. It's not that the RV companies are misstating their capacities, it's that "normal usage" of an rental RV's involve short trips to campgrounds. 6 people can fit, but only if they're going for an extended period and bringing lots of additional gear (as one would bring for...

Re: how to get rid of the wife and go to bm alone

I'm giving this a nudge over to the Q&A board, since that's a better fit for general event-related questions. The other people who've replied have said it pretty well. It sounds like your friend is a little doomed. He's either trapped in a terrible relationship and he and his buddies need to plan an...

I'm moving this over to Bikes & Transportation, since that's a better fit. Every once in a while, you run across a sensational headline that's actually perfectly appropriate for the post or article. Re: 2018 Black Rock City Plan - Campless - No Space

Relax, Ratty. When a user (including me) writes a reply based solely on the original post in a thread there's always a chance that info may be repeated. Oddly enough, that doesn't make it any less true. When the borders were less fuzzy, time would be wasted with boundary debates. Since the placement...

Re: 2018 Black Rock City Plan - Campless - No Space

You are incorrect in your assumption. The amount of spaced for placed camps (theme camps, staff camps, etc) is approximately the same as it has been in previous years. What is different this year is how the boundaries have been drawn. It's actually mentioned on the BRC map page, if you care to read ...

Re: 50 Available Camp Spots with Entheos - 3:45 & Esplanade

Time to step back and take a few deep breaths. If you do not care for what a camp is planning, then don't join or visit that camp. It is not okay to attack the camp or its campmates. All camps (both placed and unplaced) are welcome to post on ePlaya. If you feel a camp is posting something that is i...

Re: Camp Čapek 42 is seeking a few self reliant independent campers

Sorry to hear that things took a different turn, but looks like a fairly solid plan. If/when you come up with a name for your camp, then you should also send one of your group over to playa info once you've got settled, you can enter your info there and friends can look you up.

I'm giving this a nudge over to the Q&A board, since that's a better fit for discussions related to mapping and other utilities. No, Burning Man does not publish a map of where all the camps are at. If you're familiar with a site called Facebook, you may also care to look up an app there called Burnermap . It is a totally free thing that mines no data, made by burners for burners. You enter your info there, and then it shows you the camp info for the friends you are connected with on Facebook. ...

You can further hedge your bets by going over any doormat or rug yo...

Re: Storage container as art, placed in deep playa?

BRC Storage placement is for camps within the city, at camp name & location. Anything placed on the open or deep playa must be done through ARTery. In order for such a plan to work, you would need to register a project through ARTery, then receive placement from them that can be passed along to the ...

Help others to understand your idea - what kind of piece is it? Is it made of wood? Steel? Being the 9th of August, it seems a little crazy that you still haven't nailed down a design, b...
