Re: Pop Up Ultralight Vardo

Whelp after a long talk my ladyfriend and I decided that a teardrop trailer would be more fun to work with then
the crazy contraption I was originally thinking up. So yeah I'm abandoning all intent on a Gypsy wagon for now.
Thanks for the links though guys!

Pop Up Ultralight Vardo

If that other post somehow regenerates also let me know so i can delete this or that one. So I would like to start a open discussion about the design of a pop up style/inspired camper f...

Three words for you guys... Lakes OF FIRE!!! Totally amazing event that sported amazing people, fantastic art, greats music, a kick ass effigy and last but not least a camp ground that has SHADE. It was colorful and amazing in the day but at night with the effigy and the fire those woods were lit up...

Fireswords or Firesword-like poi stuff

So after lakes of fire I am totally stoked for the firespinning aspect of burns. And since I have a good martial arts backing in swords and since I regularly engage in all forms of sword combat I thought it would be cool to pursue a flaming sword act. Now I have seen that most idiots on the internet...

For those of you who don't know, there is finally a new album for Gorillaz and its known Plastic Beach.

So I have been listening to the album from youtube and a few other sources and I think its fucking amazing. But what are your thoughts?

I already was ready to get this thing looked at and hopefully licensed as a mutant vehicle for the burn and I have read that part of the survival guide on the speed limit and such. So does the thing need to be built so that it cannot achieve speeds over 5 mph or can I when at the burn build some sor...

mini bike construction

Right so first off need to state I did fiddle with the search function and didn't yield anything helpful. That aside I want to build a mini bike for burning man and for other events that I go to that will look like it was made by like goblin techies or maybe a bit of steampunk crossover. Heres a pic...

What I am thinking of is something like two seperate towers that are three stories each. These will serve as tents and camp. The towers will then be linked by a bridge with railings so nobody can fall off easily. Also I was thinking of more buying the scaffolding because there are other events that ...

Where is it good to buy scaffolding

Title says it all. I may not be at this years burn but for my prep of next year I want to start by designing a scaffold tower and thus need to know where everyone gets theirs. Thanks

Thanks guys for all of the responses and I think that I will just bring a fake or costumed piece of wood now since it seems there are more then enough rules on not having real swords.

A question on swords...

So if I come to this years burn I really want to go in my full samurai garb that I have. Of course I would love to include my whole accompaniment of katana and wakasashi with this but then I think about the legal issues here. Like I know for a fact that guns are outlawed and that is perfectly unders...

Its apparently possible to take a futon thats wood apart and then rip it down to make slats for a yurt. If you do that you not only have a great way to constructively rid yourself of the futon but also have a project that may ease the pain of your loss. Then just take it to the playa and dedicate a ...

Ok well thanks everyone for the input I can now see how the whole staking situation really is handled. I just wanted to put in my two cents and see if it was a good idea and honestly am happy not to be shredded up with board trolls. Anyway I really like some of the ideas posted and will most likely ...

Rebar stake idea

Hey guys I have been doing tons of research on burning man and everything to do with it for about a year now. I was unfortunate in not being able to buy a ticket last year and due to a lack of job might not be able to go this year. Still though I have been following alot of the stuff here and since ...
