Have tickets shipped?
I read online that tickets would be shipping mid-june. My ticketfly page says its usps priority so that should only take a few days at most. I don't have an email saying they shipped. I have been out of town for a bit so I just wanted to make sure I didn't have them missed/lifted/etc while I was gone.

Re: Burner Profile site under heavy load!
I am missing the "pre-registration" button. I already have a burner profile. Is the button on the dashboard page?
Edit:
Nevermind. The pre-registration link is on the right hand side of the Participate page. It took a few page loads to even get it to show up.

You know, big buff construction men not wanting to be bothered by some kid ;) And Im not tight on budget, im just being cheap. If I have to buy it I wi...

Need Rebar, Will Cane East Bay, Ca
I am trying to keep costs down, as many of my other posts have shown. I am building a geodesic dome and am planning on using little rebar canes hammered into the ground. Thing is, rebar is steel, and steel is expensive. Albeit, I do not need much. However, if someone needs to get rid of, or knows so...

If in Colorado, don't collect rain water!
"Nicholas Riccardi of the The LA Times has a story about "rainwater harvesters" in Colorado who are not allowed to collect rainwater that falls in their own yard, because the water rights belong to farmers, ranchers, developers and water agencies. Timbud! Another option might be to check your vicinity for banner companies. The screenprinting/banner making place I worked for a few years back threw LOTS of great, colorful marine-grade acrylic away on a regular basis. (I've ranted about it on Eplaya before, but Here I Go Again.) If you're anywh...

Re: Canvas Fabric
But if you would like a tarp that is 10 x 10 (or bigger) try a truck tarp. This site has everything including logging tarps and hurricane tarps. They have a huge selection, including size range, and most have grommets (if that's important to you). Shipping charges aren't bad, so I think you could g...

Re: Canvas Fabric
betrdanevr, i'm making an 8'7 dome. This comes out to be a little bit under 120 sq feet of area that needs to get covered. I guess I could probably get away with just two of those tarps because I doubt he will try to beat 50 dollars of fabric. Thanks though. I am probably going to end up purchasing ...

Canvas Fabric
Are there any other reasonable sources of getting some quality heavy canvas for making a dome cover? I am probably going to end up purchasing those 12 oz painters tarps as fabric stores want an arm and a leg for theirs.
Thanks

I made this
Its called a fujara. This one didn't turn out as well as I would have liked. However, it does get sound and plays!

Yes it is a flute. No it's not paraphernalia.

)*( size is good for sleeve or over left breast, larger size would be good for back of t-shirt. You could use small image on handkerchiefs/ bandanas. I like the handkerchief idea. And the sleeve idea. I might try try that out on a couple! I was thinking more like a 10 inch for the back of shirt, or...

I thought most of this was meant in good humor, but after oneeyed's last post, im pretty sure I taste some bitterness. I already have my ticket, and I'm not going to be talked out of going. So, the design worked pretty good. However, there are two things I need to work on. 1. The design size. It is 6" tall, larger you think? 2. I need to do a better job cleaning the screen. Not all of the holes were cleaned out, so I think I am going to clean out the old gelatin and re-expose the beast...

Success!! So I tried out the recipe for a homemade emulsion out of gelatin and ammonium dichromate. I had the dichromate lying around already, so I didn't have to buy any. The only thing I had to do was get some acetate sheets for the stencil. I already had a silk screen left over from an old projec...

Silk screen kits at art shoppes *are* cheap. That's why they're called "kits". Silk screen kits at art shops *arent* cheap in the least. 15 bucks for stapled 2x4's? Its about 2 dollar in materials.
