Re: Scalpers

Most of you guys have no idea how the scalping market works. The ones who does this for a living, has this event already knocked out. There is always a way to make a dollar no matter how the much in demand there is for the tickets. My take on this is, the price will climb to around $800.00. 2 years ...

Re: Tickets AVAILABLE

I just wish some of you had a clue about scalping. This event was doomed the day it started. It's a cool event and eventually more and more people wanted to go. Eventually it max's out and you get in the boat you're in. Scapling is here to stay and there is nothing BMORG can do to stop it. There is ...

Re: Sneaking into Burning Man

Hell Yeah I'm going. Since I have learned that what this event is now something else other than what it was founded on, I'm going to make me some frigging money. Sell some food, drinks, might even find me a sponsor so I can advertise a little.

Re: Sneaking into Burning Man

Well since the powers that be want to make $$, they wont' mind if I make some $$. Not too bad when you can buy 2 tickets for $640.00 and then resell them for $1800.00. After all, Burning Man is a business and why should I be denied the right to sell something that you legally sold me and I can legal...

Re: Sneaking into Burning Man
And yes, there is also the thing this IS a business, not a rainbow gathering, and this IS how some folk earn their living... so if you don't like the business, the answer then would to be NOT to be a customer, don't buy the ticket and be a participant. Simple as that.
...

Re: Sneaking into Burning Man

While I wont be sneaking in nor would I want to, I'm too old and to fat to be hiding underneath or on top of an RV. Nor would I be hiking in the desert in the middle of the night trying to get past the premiter fence. I bought my $280.00 ticket and after spending a small fortune to get there, the ti...

If you think you're gonna use a 55 gal barrel for water you better plan accordingly. Once you fill it, it's gonna be stuck right where you filled it. Consider using 2 smaller barrels or some other arrangement.

OK I did the leg work myself and got some of my answers. United Site Services (USS) will be located at the 6:30 Esplanade. You have to schedule your RV service by 29 July 11. You'll need to know your camp name or where you will be set up so they can locate you. If you are going with just a few frien...

This year however I will be there the entire week and I will definately be filling those suckers up. And another question is how often throughout the day do they come by? T...

Socks, that depends on the law that was broken. Just becuase you break the law doesn't mean you'll get arrested. Misdemeanors can be ignored because the law gives an officer discretion. We can decide to arrest you or not. Sometimes a verbal warning or making someone aware that you were in violation ...

I had one of those things and they suck. The plastic can distort your picture or prevent your camera from focusing on your subject. And the plastic is so thick you cannot use most of the controls on your camera. Either buy a cheap camera that you don't mind what happens to it, use an old camera or u...

You don't need a basket to carry ice. I just sat the ice on the handle bars or seat and then walked next to my bike. Worked just fine and I was at the furthest point I could have possibly been from the ice vendors. Save your money for a few extra beers.

Funny how everyone brings ashes to leave and it's all good. If I pour clean water on the ground everyone freeks out. At least water evaporates.

My first year, the bike I had bruised my anus. Not knowing how uneven the ground would be, the constant jaring from the bumps made it rough. By the end of the week we ditched the bike and walked. Still rough if you want to see everything but my anus appreciated my efforts.

Art Car Cover

Looking in to building my first art car. I have decided on what I want to do but I am having a problem locating information on how to cover it. I've seen some cars that have a cloth cover that is stretched over a metal frame. What is this stuff and how do I find it or even how to use it? Searched al...

Late Arrival

This is my first year so I'm unsure what problem this may cause.

I can't make it there until Wednsday evening. Will there still be enough parking for my truck, camp, ect? I don't care if I'm way out on the outskirts as long as I'm there and have plenty of room.

Virgin Help

Two questions for a firstimer for 2009.

Is the actual night of the burn on Saturday night?

How bad or will it be bad coming to the event on a Wednesday? Such as finding a RV spot, or traffic.

Any help would be appreciated.
