If you are going to BM this year, my piece is called, Artemis Moon. Mosaic/Mirrors, in a frame. I hope you find it and know you have been part of it to shar...

Re: Guy Wires for Art Installation This Year

Wow... thank you so much. This is just so helpful. I think I may put in some I bolts in the frame and lead the wire from
there. I think the crimping idea is the best. I do appreciate your time and help... Thank you again... J

Re: Did you get a STEP Ticket?

Hello Everyone. I have been following this thread since we barely made the STEP list. I am a timestamp believer. We were at timestamp 01:21. We were able to recieve 2 tickets through volunteering with a group in the Fire Conclave over the weekend. Because of this, our 2 spaces on the STEP list have ...

Magnet, light bulb, on Art Pieces

Hi There, I can't seem to find which Village/Camp puts these magnet lighty things on art pieces on the Playa, that they felt were not visable enough at night. I want to make some of them and I don't know what the componets are. They seem simple enough, some kind of magnet battery, a small colored li...

I have made art to share on the Playa for the last 4 years. These have been pretty simple but meaniful projects that I can afford, make, transport, and then get out onto the Playa with few people. Each year I have learned by seeing damage to other pieces including my own, how to try and make them st...

Propane Tank pipe attachment

Hello Creative Burners: I saw some beautiful burn barrels sitting on the tops of some propane tanks. ( BBQ style tanks). They had these coiled pipes in them with holes for the flames. I am totally new to this but loved it. Want to get into welding and make some things attached to propane tanks. How ...

Thanks

Greetings Again, Thanks so much for all your good suggestions. I am called to use the bolts. I love the idea of predrilling and then not having to use screws and the power drill. Seems like the screws always go in wrong when you don't want them too. I can get it all prepared and practice putting it ...

Art Project - Securing Plywood

Greetings Artists: I am bringing up three panels of plywood, 4 feet wide and 6 feet tall. I have made an interactive photography prop out of them. I want to hook them together but am not sure how to do this and then secure them into the playa. I have some ideas but would love to hear some others. Th...
