80 feet is pretty long, so doing it by hand is hard work. DPW, and various theme camps on the playa have trenchers that they use for a few hours at a time. Just kidding...BUT, there is an active burner community in Idaho. The Boise folks have fun stuff going all the time, and the Sun Valley folks do some impressive art.
