Post Office Returned Tickets due to Insufficient Address Inf

My moronic Post office received my tickets and put them on the truck out to my house. Because there was nobody at the house to sign for them they returned them to Burning Man without leaving me a message stating that they tried to deliver them. I found out by using the tracking number. They didn't e...

Dear Virgin Burner

Dear Virgin Burner, You must know by now that Burning Man is not your typical festival. As you take time to prepare your gear, costumes, art and yourself I want you to think about your life as it is now because it will never be the same. Since your decision to make the pilgrimage that many have made...

AUTOMATIC SUBCONSCIOUS @ 3:30 and ESPLANADE

Automatic Subconscious will be on the Esplanade this year at 3:30. Our gherkin dome is equipped with a large stage for DJ, bands, performances as well as a full silks rig for aerialists not to mention a cool hippie net at the top so you can look out on the playa or watch the party from above in the ...

I'm waiting for CSS to post one of the following:

The holocaust didn't happen.

Lizard aliens are living under the Masonic Denver airport.

Ice cubes in liquor ads were subliminally displaying female silhouettes that made men want to drink more.

Let say you were a member of an Esplanade theme camp with about 45 people. Complex infrastructure (Diesel genny, water, evap pond, large shade structure, kitchen), large dome, PA System, Lighting. Would you be ok with the same 10-12 people doing early setup, week long maintenance and break down whil...

Requirements for joining a Theme Camp.

I have a few question for all those who run a medium size theme camp, especially those who are on the Esplanade? (Not RS, OT or TD. 45 members)

Thanks

I'm part of a theme camp that has been on the Esplanade for God knows how many years. In 2009 we built a non-geodesic dome in our camp and rigged a silks rig from the top of the dome. We have performances and lessons in the dome. One of the guys that performs and teaches has a tripod that he sets up...

Automatic Subconscious uses the Boston Burning Trucks. Two 52' trailer trucks shipped by rail (CSX) to SF then to Reno by Trucks. Most Boston Burners use the truck to ship personal items as well.

Lets see, many DJ's use Macs and a few use iPads to mix remotely. iPhones are on the playa as music devices and cameras. I'm a big Apple fan, however Burning Man isn't about commercialism. You should focus on the event and not the technology brands that are out there. I'm sure you can find other eve...

I stayed with Automatic Subconscious for the past two years. Once at 3:30 and Esplanade and this year at 4:00 and Esplanade. We are a big camp with a big dome. Craft stores have plaster mesh that you can cut into strips and dunk in water.
I used it on an old motorcycle helmet with saran wrap. I'll build from that base and then use fiberglass resin to harden the shell. Inside I'll use foam weather stripping for inside.

As far as Burning Man being gay-friendly that's an understatement!

Actually he offered the ride and I said I'd chip in for gas. Now, 3 months later, I ask him how much and he says $100. I almost fell off my bar stool. So I'll just give him $20 and thank him for the ride. I'm thinking about doing the hitchhike thing next year and just give booze as a gift.

The value of a car ride from BRC to Reno

I know the all mighty dollar is frowned upon in BRC but I was wondering how much the average hitchhiking burner would "donate" in dollars for a one way ride from BRC to Reno. No hotel stays, no meals just a good old fashioned ride.
