Re: Who's Selling Ice: 2012

Never got my e-mail, hopefully didn't get left out this year. E-mailed Gentle, hopefully she has good news. Working with LBW and the noon to 3 crew is my favorite time on the playa :|

Re: Have not received tickets yet. Have you?

Got my ticket today! It is now sitting resting comfortably in my gun safe. Last year I thought I had lost two tickets during a housing move. That ain't happening again this year.

Re: Who's Selling Ice: 2012

I'll be returning to Ice-9 for my fourth year as a Snow Miser. Always the highlight of my Burn (I think I'll likely have a shift scheduled everyday of the event.) and I always return from my shifts in a euphoric stupor. Looking forward to seeing of all of my fellow penguins soon!

Bumping this since there are only 48 hours left in your kickstarter. I adopted my HappyGem! Just need a little push to get over the top!

Re: Have not received tickets yet. Have you?

I bought my ticket through Arctica, and I seem to be in direct distribution limbo, have not received a notification yet.

Did the second build on the monkey hut, forgot to get a photo of it once we got the ends sealed up. The reason I point out the truck is because that is my designated "haul shit to Burning Man" I just purchased earlier this week.

Went to the Depot and got all the materials to build this: http://galaxybeing.com/galaxyhut/

Also bought my ticket for Element 11, the Utah regional burn.

You're dealing with people that have been out in the heat doing hard labor for 3-4 weeks. That doesn't excuse them being assholes, or their "burnier than thou" attitudes but it certainly couldn't hurt to get a thicker skin when dealing with them. Stick it out 36 more hours and you'll have ...

Yeah I'm working in the ice trucks from 3-6 most of the week. Personally I think it's a pretty sweet gig. I'm sure there will be some no shows on shifts so ask around at arctica in center camp.

Also Recycle Camp ALWAYS needs people to help out crushing cans and sorting and such.

Re: Thanks everyone!

Hey Slutsy Goat -- can't wait to check out Club Horny. ("Hor-nay") I think I'll be OK with some sponge baths, the occasional minimal shower on a large tarp. Maybe I'll chase the truck once or so. The carcass wash sounds great and convenient. But I if I understand it correctly -- there's l...

It'll be a ghostly debate between Robert McNamara and Robert Novak to see who will be hated more by generations to come. It'll be moderated by Walter Cronkite. During the breaks there will be a quick advertisement with Billy Mays and Gidget (!Yo quiero OXI CLEAN!). At the conclusion Ted Kennedy (ouc...

I just don't understand why this upsets people so much. Yeah, the MJ coverage has been way overblown and everyone is sick of it, but is it going to ruin your life if Billy Jean plays for 10 seconds before the burn? If it does then I feel really sorry for you. And you don't leave pop culture behind, ...

Dear Alex,

(1) What the hell?

(2) What the fuck?

(3) Hahahaha

(4) You guys are great

(5) What a silly thing to post online.

Looks like someone saddled up the drama llama and is going at full gallop.

Regards,

Dan

Really looking forward to checking out your camp. Vertical climbing is fun, but bouldering is divine :D

I'll only be able to leave when my arms are solid bricks of pain.

Got in a little late on Monday and had to wait while the storm subsided. My greeter just gave me a pleasant "Welcome Home" and sent us through. I was a little sad I didn't get the virgin treatment, though waking up the next morning to a beautiful women offering me frozen cider more than ma...

Are you going to the Utah regional, Element 11, in June? And there's a Utah village planned for Burning Man, although I am not staying there myself. Oh yeah, I'm in Ogden. Hot glue melts in the playa heat, test it out before hitting the playa. I was considering Element 11, but outside forces (work)...

Brother Dan making a triumphant return (GREETINGS FROM SLC)

Hey all, After a harrowing/amazing/terrifying/destructive/perfect virgin year in 08 I have finally made the leap and bought my ticket for this year! It took about 7 months for the post playa pathos to work itself out, but now I am hard at work with a glue gun to get my pretty little Huffy properly p...
