You don't have to apologize for anything, Dougly; I should have thought to bring some nighttime illumination, and I forgot. At least you weren't one of the idiots who shouted something about glowing as they sped past me.

Not That Much Suckage, But . . .

After reading this topic, I'll admit one thing that's been on my mind about the event was "nighttime courtesy". Hear me out: Last year was my first year. So, like a lot of virgins, some things I had to learn the hard way: getting used to being covered in playa dust, remembering hourly appl...

What is the best sword in fighting? I really want to know because I have a fight in the next few months. Is it okay to use a SPAM in a fight? Edzz, the best sword is the one you trained to use . . . Hopefully this is practice sparring or boffer combat with the proper protective gear? Live steel isn...

I'd say it's more of a "piece of crap" sword by the look of it.

Welcome back, Wolfe and happy new year! Nobody bothered you about your whip, did they? Happy New Year :). And no, no one bothered me about the whip. Late To The Party

Re: Swords at BM: Sorry for posting late on this one, but as Dougly stated, I was stopped by one of the Rangers (not the Black Rock kind; I'm talking the U.S. Government Employee-kind). He asked if the sword I was carrying that day was real, and I replied it was. He then told me, straight up: no swo...

I am sad that I missed the Temple Burn but glad that we got out by 8am Sunday. :D Amen to that. We drove from our site at 3:00 and F to the main highway in about twenty minutes. Not bad at all :). 2009 was my first BM, but I'm okay with missing the Temple Burn. I was there to see the man burn, I sa...

I haven't found the rules on this, so someone please enlighten me:

We're barbarians. I'm assuming more than a few of us, if not all of us, will be carrying swords, axes, etc.

Do we have to keep them peace-tied at Burning Man?

Another idea for a sign:

Have "Barbarian Camp" in Conan-movie font, and have a sword going through "Camp" like the word 'Conan' in the "Conan The Barbarian" movie title :).

I wonder how much that would cost to do?
