Bandanas may make you look like a cool cowboy, but do you think they are really filtering the tiny dust particles you find on the playa? Not a chance. They blow right through and end up deep in your lungs for later use. Different people have different levels of sensitivity to the dust. Some years fo...

Respro is crap sorry...

Those Respro masks are not good in my experience. First of all they smell like toxic neoprene and as any surfer knows, that stuff does not breathe at all. Second and more importantly, the fancy exhale valves come off very easily and get lost rendering the $50 mask useless. The metal nose clamp hurts...

Not being able to choose your spot is the only downside to doing a theme camp. Our camp was very interactive and would have benefited from a corner location. Our assigned spot turned out to be excellent even though it was inline.

My 1st year camp was a lot of fun. I could write a whole essay about the details both good and bad but overall it was one of the most rewarding projects I have ever undertaken.

I'll post some photos soon.

I like the 1 Gal Crystal Geyser bottle with the white handle. I drink ridiculous amounts of water so I can get 4 uses out of the bottle. The top is large enough to be an easy target. No mess and easy to empty in the AM.

Self Storage options close to BRC

What are the most popular and economical storage options for reusable Burning Man camp items after Labor Day? Does it make sense to store stuff or just burn/donate whatever you can in BRC and haul the rest 800 miles? I hate to see usable materials go to waste but storage is usually the most overpric...

People will offer good ideas and then ignore every follow-up communication on the topic. The bottom line is that you can't expect too much from volunteer labor. take care of yourself and only do what you are willing to do freely. Once you give too much you get resentful and you good time is gone.

That's a tricky one because the pole will be flexible unless supported from the top and bottom.

The good news is there are many camps with poles for dancing. You will find plenty of opportunities to share your art-form out there.

Thousands of people were wandering aimlessly around. To find themselves, or express themselves, I'm told.

I have to wonder why the writer is so offended by this?

There seems to be something for everybody at Burning Man. He can start a Christianity Camp if he wants.

Is there such a thing?

Cover your tent from the side in the morning. A soon as sun hits, you will heat up.

Your shade needs to be set back to allow airflow.

A carport with sides is a good idea.
