Um I'm blown away right now because I HAVE A CAT NAMED REPTAR and am most definitely a cat person. I have a camp but I just wanted to be sure you weren't my cat.

Re: 2017 Map?

I have a theory that due to the playa water there are still a few options to go with and the footprint may be a little different this year so maybe that's why a map hasn't been put out yet. I know the layout seems like something that would be the same regardless but I do wonder if that plays into th...

Re: Can we do BM without a bike?

I'm jumping on the "bring a bike" bandwagon. I had a year where I was really into walking long distances, and went without one, and while honestly, I didn't mind exploring the city at that pace by any means, there were times I would meet people traveling with bikes or have friends with them and not ...

Re: Low Income + STEP Program.

Yes Maryanimal I was actually very fortunate in both receiving a low income ticket AND being notified in a very timely manner. Now it's nearly time to go home and I am so ecstatic.

Re: Low Income + STEP Program.

A friend of mine applied about an hour after the application opened, and was notified she did NOT receive a low income ticket back on the 21st. They must really have had a HUGE number of applicants this year. I'd love more insight into how the behind-the-scenes of the selection process works too, bu...

After an arduous wait, I've been awarded a low income ticket! Gratitude barely covers it. So much excitement, so much to plan! I am so so so excited the portal will open yet again. I applies about 2 hrs 45 mins after the application was released, and only just got word, so be patient my dust-loving ...

Re: Low Income + STEP Program.

Has this become this year's "Official" Low Income ticket thread? Congrats to those of you who have been notified. I applied March 4th, and am yet to hear back, so I will be quite anxiously checking my e-mail, knowing notifications are being sent. I have been very fortunate to have the privilege of r...

Re: Low Income Ticket Program Information

Please share if any of you receive a reply on the matter. This is a huge trip for me, I am spending every penny to my name flying from my home on Hawaii this Friday, and still have a slight feeling of terror I'll arrive and discover I DON'T have a low income ticket. Burning Man is in 2 weeks, this i...

Re: Low Income Ticket Program Information

Thank you very much for your help Eric. I am not very good with the internet or reading comprehension. Is there a reason you suggest I have my actual user name be my legal name, rather than just contact the team and ask them to change my name? I've always gone by my middle name in life, hence why I ...

Re: Low Income Ticket Program Information

I've had success with the low income ticket program in the past. I'm just concerned I can't even get beyond the first step as I'm not seeing how I can change my name on my profile. It's always a bit hard for me because I haven't filed taxes in 2 years due to not earning enough to be required to, and...

Re: Low Income Ticket Program Information

Anyone know if proof I'm on food stamps is enough documentation to submit? Also, does anyone know how to edit my name in my profile? When I go to edit profile, it seemed unchangeable, and that's the name the form uses for my application and it needs to be changed to properly correspond with my drive...

Re: Alright, let's hear the best and worst from 2012

This is the rare case where I am finding Eplaya more 'burnerey' than than the playa itself! Thank you Savannah, and all the other wonderful burners who kept me afloat that odd week. Burning Man may be evolving with the rest of the world, but I still have so much faith in the people who migrate to th...

Re: Alright, let's hear the best and worst from 2012

I AM CONFUSING GATE WITH GREETERS. Sorry, misuses of terminology. The greeter got me after I was already devastated. Re: Alright, let's hear the best and worst from 2012

Worst: I drove 1150 miles alone from Taos, New Mexico. Left a day later than planned, so I really pushed it with the driving, 13 hours the first day, and the remainder the second day (Monday 8/27). I get through Gerlach, cry tears of joy on that last 9 miles before the turn off, and am blown away by...
