for el wire, solder is great. those sweet little cool touch soldering irons are awesome, battery operated, but spendy $$. for regular soldering any kind of thin electric solder should do just fine. fixed many a el wires for friends

yea this will be one of my Sky's biggest trips, shes been up to Humboldt from San Diego a few times, so she's done some long ass trips, but i just got her in perfect working order and road ready, i know she's gona love the adventure =]
