I haven't been sewing for the last few years, but I am very proud of my flame coat. Fanciet damn thing I have ever tackled. Go for it.

Splitting up the forums was awfully fussy and unneeded. A connections subfurom might be handy, suggest it to Trilo, see if it flies.

Using Water 4 times If you're really REALLY stingy with water (and you should be in the desert) you can make one quart of water pull "quadruple duty" with a reasonably sized basin/mess kit pot: 1) Brush Teeth (use very little) 2) Boil for coffee 3) Shave and wash once the boiled water coo...

LOL, I was Navy, so relative bearing grease and skyhooks here.

Yes, there is a real post office which needs volunteers all the time. My real mailbox was stolen this year, so I am heartbroken.

Re: Unsure how to contact Lost and Found

I love doing the collages, they are fun. Sadly, I am out of cigar box lids, hopefully someone with access to a smoke shop or cigar store can hook me up. The Pokemon piece was done by my campmate Rarity. Yeah, I am very sad about Fernando. I really loved the work I had done on him, and what all the n...

Dear Idiot, I think you're doing it right. Looks like a fine outfit to me. My own personal favorite is an abaya, I also wear Mexican dresses and Hawaiian mumuus. All just fine. I wish we had out yukata out there this year, they would have been great camp wear in the hotter than usual heat. larry's c...

We took in a car camper, let her use one of our spare tents under the monkey hut. She would have been fine in the vehicle, but it is a spartan experience. Good for you.

Playa names happen when they happen. Mine didn't happen for years, until my nephew left me a note with Aunty Em spelled as Anti M, and my friends picked it up too. My husband still goes by his name, although sometimes he's called MyLarry to differentiate him from several other Larrys. Do not give yo...

We need a Clamshell Club. DSCF8315 - Copy.JPG But yes, find the tag for the carport on the cover, and order replacement legs direct from the manufacturer. Surprisingly inexpensive, but shipping will be the killer. Larry even fixed a Z Shade easy up canopy, one of the expensive ones, after it blew ov...

Re: Two virgins from Norway 2018. Help? Is our tent good enough?

That sounds like a solid plan. Once you've settled in on eplaya, you can certainly ask various people their experiences with established camps. I have a tiny theme camp and get inquires now and then. Unfortunately, I can tell that they have not read a thing about my camp. LOL, we have five core memb...

I have that metal tray for D, and a book for you. We may need to exchange snail mails. Not only did we huddle hiding from the heat, I had food poisoning on Sunday, and again Monday evening. Gah. Little mozzarella balls, I think, or the bacon. Then on Saturday morning early, Larry came down with the ...

Being active on eplaya is a good way to get to know folks who have camps. This is much better than randomly handing over dues to a camp which may or may not be a good fit.

This is why one always carries supplies, even even you are not expecting a period, or even if you just had one. The playa does odd things to cycles and normalcy.

Both Larry and myself completely remove our onesies before attempting the portos. If I am wearing long flowy stuff, I take it off and leave it on the bike if I can. Even without the urinal, the floor is often awful enough I do not want to drag stuff around in there. But yes, less savagery and more c...

Looks okay, although you'll want to find a way to shade it a bit. Also, is there a mesh vent at the top? That will let dust in, so you'll want to be able to seal that off. Sun and dust will be greater concerns than wind, in all honesty.

I've seen people camp in worse tents successfully.

She was the volunteer liaison, and has been taking some time off. You would need to contact the BMORG for details.

You can register your minor children at Burning Man, this option should be available for service dogs as well. That way if they do get separated from their owner, reuniting them may be simpler.

Thank you. Did the marblelized piece have a bird or branch on it? A butterfly? Was it a block, heavy? If so, I didn't do the marblelizing, those were gifted to the Home on last day last year. A dozen of them. I just painted the edges and added the little stencil.
