Re: Hello my future family:)
Welcome Aboard. Ticket? LOL, like most of the other poor schlubs around here, you buy one. The DGS allotment requests have already been submitted by the camp leads; in any case, finding a camp ticket for a new and unknown person is not an easy task. Most volunteer tickets are earned for the followin...

Re: The Bar 2018 Edition

Back from Cancun. I caught a nasty cold, and it rained. Some of it was very good, like the Jolly Roger booze cruise, but mostly I spent too much money and was sad in private. I'm glad I went, but damn, Larry made my life simple and comfortable.

Well, I now know of yet another way to not have your spouse attend. I do not recommend it.

Re: Ideating a meal prep service for BM 2019
You're not supposed to make money off the burn. Period. Some people do, but they suck. Do some people offer this service? Probably, and I think they are misguided. No. I do not care if this makes attending easier for some burners, IT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE EASY. They can fly in and go shopping, it is...

Re: Electric Quad-wheel Fatbike wheelchair
But if you lose the argument with the DMV or the BLM, the person who needs it will be left without transport. If they need a wheelchair, they just register it as a handicap vehicle because they;d have the placard. Why make it difficult?

Re: Electric Quad-wheel Fatbike wheelchair
Once you go from three wheels to four, you involve DMV, either as a handicap vehicle or a mutant vehicle. Both require registration. Three wheels? Have at it. Handicap registration is not terribly difficult if you have a placard from your state.

Moderator note: moved to Greeter's Station as it is a better fit than the Fuck thread in OD. Welcome. No, there are no "training camps". We do have a fundraising forum, with specific parameters. There's a Dye with Dignity camp, they do silk scarves where people dye their own. Usually they just sched...

It's better than the spambot attacks from years ago. I'm just a mod, so I don't know if it could be done automatically. Re: Greetings Everyone
Welcome Aboard! I'm in Ogden. There's quite a few burners in SLC, and a very active community. Some fire, some music, lots of art. Our regional is in June this year, and is a good place to try out your playa gear. Do ask to join the FB group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/Utah.Burners/ https://www...

MyLarry helped trap a young possum which had hitchhiked in on a truck from Texas. It had survived all week and was discovered during tear down. They planned to take it back to TX and turn it loose.

Re: Culture - Camps - Placement
I took it. For me,it boils down to a gifting concept. A handmade gift is nicest, no one wants your purchased crap. Handmade and homemade gifts are best. Same with camps. One built from the heart is going to be more interesting and endearing than one purchased from a production company. Just the thou...
