Yeah I meant a BLM Ranger, not the BRC volunteers. I know the difference, this was my 5th burn, jkisha wrote:FYI Rangers are not LEOs.

Re: Exodus 2013 - How was it?
About 12 hours from camp to Reno for us - about 7 hours in line then stopped for a 2.5 hour sleep near pyramid lake because we were both so tired. We left about 9:30pm yesterday having watched the temple burn from the RV roof at our camp site after breakdown.

Re: law enforcement 2013
I have nothing but positive feedback of the LEOs. They were super friendly, stopped for a chat with us, talked us through all the gadgets on their uniforms (we're from the UK), gave us Junior Ranger pin badges and BLM wrist bands and told us to flag them down if we needed anything because they were ...

Re: Open Camping Areas
What I remember reading is that a Registered Theme Camp must be set up and ready for "business" when the event opens. That's the reason for Early Arrival passes. Well only speaking from experience of my camp - we usually have 70-100 members but are only granted 5 EA passes. Those 5 guys do a lot of...

We just leave ours in the stairwell.
And brush out the dust once a day with a broom.

I have mid length hair (down to my shoulders) and i don't wash it at all at BM - just shake it out and pin it up in madder and more outlandish up-dos throughout the week, I love it!

Re: How many people attended 2012 event?
I just think first come, first served was fine. And having had 10 years + of non transfrerrable ticketing system for Glastonbury there is virtually no secondary market for those tickets. This has been hashed out on the ticket threads for this year. Please read up before re-opening the can of worms....

Re: How many people attended 2012 event?
But you weren't obligated to buy a STEP ticket once your name came up. yeah i know it was a bit more complicated than that - I took it so that I could sell my other to a friend and then she simultaneously got one in STEP too. Anyway, all history now blah blah.... I just think first come, first serv...

Illumination Village , one of the oldest and most-flammable villages in BRC, expects to be placed near 3:30 & Esplanade. We will have a much larger Esplanade presence this year, with a Fire Garden (many fun toys), a tall light sculpture/navigational aid, and a Fire Stage with a 30' Aerialist tripod...

It's cool if all the tickets went to virgins...just a long as they all come and built plenty of awesome theme camps so there'll still have cocktail bars, amazing art and places to go and hear great music.

(2) Europeans in RVs who are attracted by the idea of a giant rave and participate by giving out a few cans of beer to strangers . That's a bit unfair. Re: 2012 Theme Camps - will you make it this year?
Trilobyte, Respectfully, that isn't a reality my camp had to wrangle with last year. We all ordered tickets the day they went on sale, and had exactly the number we needed. We didn't buy more and hoard them, we didn't get less because of a ticket shortage that wouldn't present itself for another 6 ...

Re: Official "Not Awarded Tix" Thread
This system sucks. First come, first served is always going to be fairer - and based on last year vs this year - MUCH less time consuming and stressful. To stop scalpers PLEASE consider using the system that Glastonbury festival in the UK uses - participants register with a photo. Their photo, name ...

Re: Worth, price, and scalping
Coming from the UK I have to deal with the annual scrum that is Glastonbury tickets - 180k tickets sell out in 3 hours. So my thoughts re: Burning Man tickets are: if you want to go - plan to buy your ticket when they go onsale! Kind of have little sympathy with those whining about ticket selling ou...
