Wondering about a honda 2000 that seems to not perform as well out there as back at cooler festivals in socal.
Would it help to have shade over it?

Re: Last minute: Saying YAS at the Playa
Hi Danny! I'm a 14 year veteran who also specializes in photography. I shot burning man for Village Voice media for years (as CuriousJosh) so I'm really reliable on playa, and I also shoot weddings regularly and have a great wedding portfolio that I'd be happy to show you, but I don't want to post h...

Re: DPW pulls a knife on a virgin?
MOD NOTE: Josh, This is pretty serious stuff. I appreciate your patience while I parked this thread in our Quarantine section for a modicum of discussion. From here I would suggest your friend get a hold of BMORG as well as the Sheriff Department. Pulling a knife on someone and strong arming a ride...

DPW pulls a knife on a virgin?
So I wanted to convey a story from my camp at Burning Man. I was coming out of the showers and bumped into one of our camp virgins who was visibly shaken. I asked what was wrong and she said a series of rough things had happened to her and some rangers had pulled a knife on her. I said that didn't s...

Re: Plug n plays running amuk
... do you have any proof that *all* of these camps abuse their workers? or just that one anonymous post? if so, I'd like to see, and lets hear some possible solutions. if the BMorg is involved in selling these things that sucks, but again, what are you going to do about it? and i STILL have no pro...

Re: Maximum Culture Jamming
oh, and you'll love this. The LA Santacon handbook this year had the advice "be nice, and tip well" while visiting bars. and they were serious... Tipping well subverts the dominant paradigm. HAH! ok, best laugh of the day. LOL, the new Santacon... cacophony fighting for waiters everywhere.

Re: Do the math: over 50% of tickets went to scalpers
[quote="Key Man"] I agree, but also want to point out that the scalpers (actually I say "speculators" because I think most are individual players) won't be listing tickets on ebay and other venues now for the simple reason that they don't yet have the tickets in hand! It's pretty hard to tell a buye...

Re: Do the math: over 50% of tickets went to scalpers
[quote="trilobyte"] It's difficult to say with certainty whether that's because not many scalpers got tickets, or it's because most scalpers have chosen not to list their tickets yet (either because they do not want to sell a ticket they won't have until June, or they would prefer to wait for people...

It was weird. every year I take a wednesday night walk around the whole esplenade. (hey, I love it), and I notic...

The inevitability of shaming public sexual acts is... saddening. In 2004, police made gASSo take the "orgasmatron" off the esplanade, and that was a sad, sad day. The burning man guide *has* to say that public sex acts are prohibited, but 10 years ago, it was just not the case. The event was cooler,...

Material to Filter Air? Recommendations?
Does anyone have recommendations on material that will let air flow through, and catch playa dust?
I'm making a dust free box for some electronics, and would love to know what kind of material I can use to filter the air
thanks!
