why not make your own? not necessarily for the masses, but just one item that has personal significance to YOU. what are the qualities, ideals, characteristics of burning man you want to remember? you may not find this in a purchased item made by someone else.

one rental truck company has canvas-like roof cargo pouches
that you can rent for $5 a day (i think they are waterproof). might be good for light things (clothes, rubber duckies) but not water.

after 3 burns, my air mattress is dead.
didn't like it much anyway (not thick enough with one person, but jiggles too much with 2 people).

so, any recs? the thermarest type?

how about foam...someone referred to 3inch foam...any suggestions on where to get some?
