fbcota, I don't want to give too much away but I am in the process of making a few signs for this project. They will all relate to the pier, the playa, and burningman in different ways. Some are silly, some are more contemplative, some are both! I will post some pics when I have finished a few.... O...

No way... I just hope that some obsessively creative, overly educated, extremely upset, and sufficiently caffeinated burner made that up to give me disturbing thoughts tonight of what could be. At the same time though, if this is for real, and someone actually pays for this service, I hope they camp...

I've suspected it for some time, but I guess it is now official: I am a Rif Raf. I look at it as a noun, and I take pride in this identity because I like music done monstrositiously. In all fairness though, haven't posted in a while and I can't wait until I am back on the playa, knowing that all yal...

Malcom in the Middle already did it huh? Dang, that kind of takes the wind out of my labia... Regardless, I want to provide people with a reversal of passage. Sic Pup I like your idea of a reversal time line, it could be done in an interactive drama/obstacle course fashion. Thanks for the feedback a...

Reversal of passage

I tend to associate rites of passage with some kind of payoff and also with group approval/status elevation. This led me to the thought of a human life like an onion, layers upon layers of initiations surround what was once a impressionable child. I would like to make a rite of passage that returns ...

I'm thinking about the "take a picture with your catch idea" and I wanted to flush a couple of things out. So, my question is "how can we make it work where it only takes two people to operate while keeping in mind budget." A secure strap for the legs (around the shins) like a bu...

This is something I've wanted to do but due to the lack of a cab it hasn't ever happened: A playa cash cab. You can start with the easy stuff from the survival guide, move onto more advanced playa terminology, then continue into the depths of playa lore. Give the riders a few life lines: Bend Over: ...

This is going to be great! I too like the beginning of the pier opening up a bit to allow some social space, but nothing to grand. I imagine that it could be just a large enough area that would reflect real world use, with the small bait shop, room for push carts, a space for a large board (pier rul...

You took the thought right out of my mind fbcota! Last night after some wine I thought, "how wide is this thing supposed to be?". I imagined the beginning to spread out quite wide, like a river delta, maybe 12 feet. It would quickly (over 20 feet) narrow to a thin width of around 6 feet an...

Kent, My advice is to do whatever the hell you want. But man, it only took a bee sting (maybe even a little baby bee sting) and you were ready to defend phish to the death. Are you Phish? Some of my best pees have been at burning man. This year I finished about 4 shots of vodka (was already drunk) before I had to pop off that plastic thing and fill up the bottle. In retrospect, I probably didn't have to drink the vodka, I could have topped it off, but eh, thats what happens.

Hello All, This was my second burn and somehow it was more fantastic than my first.
