I might be wrong, but if I get upset and angry on a message board dedicated to the people and things I love most in the world, there's something wrong, with me perhaps, and what I was told is right, I shouldn't hang around if that's how I feel. I promise to do an amazing job on an faq. And for your ...

But, I am still seeing red about Kiro et all who cannot fucking LOOK for the FAQ thread, WTF is your problem I'm not a new member that needs answers nor was I looking for them, which shows how well you comprehend things before launching a barrage of ignorant piss. I said it's not clear enoug...

Don't sit around telling someone else to do it, I offered to do all the work, but was interested in the discussion first because some people do act like helping newbies is ruining the event. In a discussion on whether the interaction on here can sometimes get shitty without much reason, and that it...

Yeah, but it tells how to search. Yeah but if newcomers were willing to search, this place or Google, then none of this would be an issue. Since they can't, or don't, and there are problems with people angry at the constant stream of answered questions, that's why I think one area with all the usua...

That's not a Burning Man FAQ, that's a phpBB FAQ.

I don't think so, I'm trying to be pro-active and have a discussion, you're the one throwing your toys out of the pram because someone dared to challenge the status-quo.

Second post today I posted and it disappeared. I don't have the energy to try to duplicate all I wrote, so I'll just sum it up with a big FUCK YOU to all you winers and complainers. That's the only comment you deserve now get out of our sandbox if you don't know how to play well with the others. Is...

AntiM, Seems like a bit of scanning threads here would be enough to discourage lots of good people from ever participating, simply because they can't camp out here and respond to all the snark and drivel. I don't think that the few endless posters realize how unfriendly they make this place for man...

The Lost Penguin Cafe has been uprooted from our years on Esplanade and will be moving to 5 and Divorce. I'll admit to a twinge of disappointment, but given time to warm to the idea, it'll be fun to make the most of the change. This is exactly the kind of attitude we should be encouraging. Good luc...

You're too nice. <3

sometimes the line people do get way carried away on that. I try to mitigate as much as possible, but it's hard from behind the registers So why not walk out from the register for a minute and loudly scream at these people to stop treating Burners like cunts? What kind of city are we trying to buil...

You should have told them to eat a fucking dick and stayed right where you were.

Burning Man had ogres and fairies and orks and dragons and people riding across the horizon on all manner of winged monstrosity long before WoW arrived. Dress like what you like, the more original the better.

An FAQ section seems an obvious and easy fix for most of the new member questions. It could/should be a snark-free zone so people can find answers easily, with only on-topic replies allowed. With no more questions being repeatedly asked, there would be no problem with snarky fuckheads upsetting new ...

That's so unlike you.

It's technically positive, which seems a good analogy for eplaya.

I guess you could make the argument that everyone that doesn't build a piece of art or belong to a theme camp that is offering free booze, dance space, food, etc. is not fully participating in the event. Just spectators enjoying everyone else's efforts. What's the difference? What do you give back ...

who cares how much someone checks facebook, does that really hurt your burn in any way? Seeing people with their cellphones out was as jarring for me as seeing police cars zooming across the playa, but like you said, not everyone goes for the same reasons, I just bought into the isolation aspect of...

I wasn't expecting a lack of drunks, drugs, frat boys, etc .. but was surprised to see how quickly the spectators and frat boys had visibly changed the vibe by the weekend. We were well aware that was going to happen, it's openly talked about that they're not really into it in the same way, and alth...

I'd bet if enough people checked in, Four Square would create a special Burning Man badge. Now that would be cool. Might be boring to you, but would be extra fun for me. Each to their own. Kill me. [edit] Do you REALLY want to see thousands of people frantically 'checking in' to camps, and updating...

And if I could have done Four Square from the Man, I would have on that first morning. And it wouldn't have hurt anyone. Perhaps not, but indulging in such pointless default world piffle seems a pretty boring thing to have on your mind out there. Leave your cell phones in your cars, allow yourself ...

At Sacramento's Decompression, we met Dr Pyro, the snark fountain mountain of a legend.

We're bringing something gory to your camp, as promised..

Hah, I love this.

The fact that sometimes, someone with a vial of LSD might turn out to be an idiot or an asshole is sad, but far from unbelievable. Like anything in life, it's not hard to get liquid acid if you know the right people, and I've heard of this exact thing happening at events in my area. It makes me very...

The Kantina, and Sue, were epic beyond words. As was my staggering trip back to camp. <3
