its just one more thing to pack out, but we use DoubleDoodie or Wag bags out on the boat. much easier than the old portable potties. (not JOTS) the bags consist of a outer ~3gal heavy plastic double ziploc bag and a larger trashcan bag filled with some type of dry power that Once it gets wet turns i...

I spent some time looking at small gensets... kipor -one chinesee knockoff, had good reviews from some sailing boards. but poor parts availability, vs honda network swayed me to get the EU2000i while it cost a little more, no one I've ever talked to that owned one regretted their decision. http://cg...

from my sailing background I have too much experience with this matter... the "Double Doodie" and 'Wag bags' have a powder type of filler not unlike a diaper gel, that react with fluids to create a gel like substance. they come with a outer ziplock bag that can legally be disposed in any trash can.....

... . when motor power dies, I'm on pure leverage and prayers, she likes to konk out while going up hill this is because; some genius at GM decided, fuel tanks should be drained (intake) in the middle. why not run a 2nd scavenger type tank? that's what racers do... but often requires 2 fuel pumps.....

fwiw, hudson fl, is 1 hr north of tampa. & I'm 5 hrs from tampa, or I would take a look for you. yeah, the briggs are very loud, but I've seen a motorcycle muffler welded to the exaust on a larger (8-10) B&S generator, and it was almost acceptable. ( actually, a kart racing type extractor ) it would...

^^^ after about 30 minutes on the road, I stop and put my hand on the hub/bearing, and tire sidewall. it should not be hot. check again after an hour, and every time I stop. I've had a hub failure too, (boat trl), now I carry a hub and bearing set. they have them ready to go at most marine stores......

Re: Altitude Sickness Tips:
The number one biggest mistake some people make it that they get there after X many hours, is: getting drunk, running around like a chicken with it's head cut off, and watching the sun come up as their still actively partying... and passing out on the playa. Do yourself a favor and just chill/relax...

I own a zodi 12v powered shower. its just ok. the problem is regulation of the heat, wastes water. now if you had a lake for a source, no problem run it till it gets to the 'right temp' and shower up. but turning it on and off gets the water in to coils too damn hot. I use it on the boat, and ended ...

Don't know if the trailer has shocks. Good question! Our welder friend is always up for making some extra cash. We'll check. -most trailers have springs, and they do get tired, and need replacing after many years of use. check the clearance between the axle and the trailer frame. once fully...

CA Condition Alpha
http://www.damer.com/pictures/events/burningman2002/blowout/alphaguide.html On the Tuesday following Burning Man 2002, a thousand or so poor souls experienced "Alpha", which started with no warning at midday and lasted for almost three days, with sustained winds at 70mph gusting to over 100mph. DiveDog..I've been for 10 years and never needed AC... I prefer RV camping(1969 UltraVan), I like the door and snuggly bed, but don't use the stove or potty, so I don't need power... REALLY?
