Just make sure you don't do anything stupid out there and can piss clean when you get back. Expect to be drug tested.

Cheap insurance.
The RV generator cuts out at 1/4 tank. I may be leaving at some weird hour during the night. Should that be enough to get me to gas/civiliztion, or do I need to get external tanks?

24 hour gas station

What is the closest 24 hour gas station on the way from the playa to reno?

I want to make sure the RV has enough gas to get there on the way back.

I like the wristband idea. If it works for other festivals, why not BMan?

Also, many states will be more than happy to issue you a duplicate ID for a small fee. I plan on having one to show to bars\LEO if it comes up and one to make sure I can get on the plane come time to leave.

I'd like to bring my GF to the regionals, if only because she wouldn't complain about so much time apart.

She's not outdoorsy, but is generally pretty self reliant. I have a hard time seeing how someone could NOT have a good time, especially at the regionals, which are a kinder, gentler sort of burn.

Great videos!

I know a lot of people on these boards like to hate on Root Society and OT, but as these videos show a lot of people are out there busting ass to make it happen. I, for one, appreciate going to such great lengths to throw an awesome party. Thank you!

The same question goes for the drink after a "ballcuzzi" has occurred in it.
Win!

I'm pretty sure my 'tea bags' are in violation of Nevada health code.

In the event of apocalypse..

In the event of the apocalypse I can't think of people I'd rather be around than burners. But the playa can't support life on an ongoing basis. If society collapses, there should be pre-specified place to meet up. Criteria: Not too close to a major city, not downriver or downwind from one. Potable w...

The things you like most about burner culture

For me 1) Lack of halfassery. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. I was at preheat, they constructed a big oven thing for the burn. When I asked if it was sound enough for my 300+ lb(at the time) ass to walk around on, the response was "yea, it's fine." And it was. 2)Openness. This needs no...

I just bought two pairs of $12 wal-mart sneakers. Will be spray-painting them to make them playa-licious.

Between that, my boots, and my flip flops I think I'm covered.

I second the Lifelite sticks. They're $5 at home depot, sometimes $3 for 10. They double as a flashlight and rape whistle. No, seriously, it's a rape whistle.

Oh, and for lighting a bike a $2 string of battery powered LED xmas lights works great.

Let's talk backpacks

So I bought this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001PKV6XE/ref=ox_ya_os_product but may end up returning it-it's so damn small! Someone recommended this http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/DAK0769/DAKINE-Heli-Pro-20L-Winter-Pack-1200cu-in.html but it's apparently not made for tall people. I'm 6...

I'M GOING TO BURNING MAN

I just wanted to say hi to all the other burners, ravers, hippies, punks, and whatever else! I've been to some of the regional burns, and had an amazing time.. I just reserved my RV(I know, boo, RV, bad form!) AND I'M GOING TO BURNING MAN! Looking forward to seeing all of you on the playa next year!...
