Re: Damaged Envelope; Missing Tickets

This is another reason why my choice of Will Call works for me.

Will call is not an option for me, because I generally arrive on Playa to work before the box office is open.

Re: Damaged Envelope; Missing Tickets

Update: InTicketing was contacted, and because we were able to provide 'evidence' in the form of photos of the torn envelope in plastic with USPS official stamp which stated 'damaged in transit, contents removed', they are voiding the original tickets and resending the order. Not sure how this will ...

Damaged Envelope; Missing Tickets

Hello All, I'm hoping that the community or moderator will be able to advise a course of action (and I hope this topic is not rehashed at length elsewhere, I did search and didn't find anything immediate): Received the ticket envelope from InTicketing today, the envelope had been ripped open and the...

Label Your Stuff! Lost and Found on the Playa

Check out this good advice from your friends at Playa Info: Every year thousands of items are lost (and found!) on the Playa. We volunteers at Playa Info try our best to reunite items with their owners, and there are steps you can take pre- and on-playa to help! Prevention is the best cure. Consider...

we are always craving 1/2 and 1/2 for our morning coffee by Wednesday, and the late arriver in our camp who brings it wins the PRIZE! (the 1/2 and 1/2 we take in with us when arriving Friday before gate opens is gone or spoiled by Wednesday). also cold, cold watermelon!

'Borrowed'? Yellow Fur Covered Playa Cruiser

My Playa cruiser was 'borrowed' during the Black Rock Hoedown at the Flaming Lotus Girls Angel of the Apocalypse (while I was shakin' ass to those skilled DJs on the UniMog). It's a girl's cruiser, pretty ancient. Black seat with broken springs, covered in yellow fur. It had a bright orange plastic ...

'Deeper' Artist Seeks Film of Installation

I'm part of the team who installed "Deeper" (aka the copper-figured 'Divers' zoetrope) by Peter Hudson (you may know him from 'Sisyphish' aka the Swimmers) - on the playa this year. While out with Pete last night, he mentioned that he has NO VIDEO of his piece in action. Does anyone have video of th...

mail 'legal'

there is a service called "Business Mail Entry" at the USPS in San Francisco, i believe you can fax them something at full size and they will call/fax you back to let you know whether or not it's legal for snail mail.

good luck!

how about...

since things happen on PT/playa time out there, and even the best intentions (making sure to get back to somewhere to drop something off) are often derailed by many things (the unamog, some blinky lights in the distance...), any way you could pre-stamp and pre-address the post cards to your civilian...

use a color copy to look at/post on fridge...

...and keep the real thing safe. last year my friend had hers on the fridge, roomate had friends over late one night, **poof** no tix when they woke up the next morning. heartbreaking. (roomate polled friends to find out who the thief was, failed (predictably), but paid my friend for the ticket, any...
