Anti M's Home for Wayward Art is over at 635 and E this year.
I will be making a visit! I’ve told so many people about the Home for Wayward Art! One of my fav things at the burn. :D

Re: After a 6 year hiatus.... I’m coming home!

The prodigal sister returns to her roots. 6 years and not a card, note or even a phone call to let us know you were ok? Welcome back Fufa. You'll have to wear a name badge so we recognize you. Some things have changed in BRC. Tickets now sell out in minutes. Lots of first timers each year, ...

After a 6 year hiatus.... I’m coming home!

Hello old friends! (My last log in to eplaya was 2013, boy does time ever fly) After various things in the default world kept me away, I am back, and I will be at TTITD again this year. I’m helping organize Camp No Boundaries, a small NYC based camp, and volunteering with Greeters. I’ve missed you! ...

Re: Calling all lemurs, big Dane's, Fufa's and other fuckos

HELLO! Bob told me to pop by and say hi. I am alive and well! Burning was not in the cards this year (and won't be next either) unfortunately, so I unplugged myself from eplaya to concentrate on other areas of my life. Since unplugging I finished my bachelor's, traveled Asia for 3 months, moved to N...

Re: One Item for BM a Day

Not for BM but, kind of interesting: I just removed the rotten carcass of a sea urchin from its shell with a pair of tweezers. Said sea urchin had been sitting in a sealed ice cream bucket full of dried coral, sea stars, and shells for the past FIFTEEN YEARS. After all this time, I now know why my c...

This happened last Tuesday but... BEST BORDER CROSSING back into Canadiana from a Burn ever. It was 2am so I was a little dazed and tired, but upon telling the border guard we had been at "The Burning Man Festival in Nevada". He asked: "How was it?" And after we answered he also asked "Was it your f...

Yup, spent 2 hours in an internet cafe reading all the news stories. Of course the owner noticed him. He got half-way across the world, just to get caught 'cause he's full of himself. The feet in British Columbia at least wash ashore every few years. All these dismembered bodies, in the same region,...

I learned a new phrase in my abnormal psychology class today: "chronically normal".

I think it would be terrible to be chronically normal.

Why do you think most Americans sleep on the job... It's the boring money. It's also how we get wacky economic theories--trying to make the money exciting... Have you talked to Dadura? Who is Dadura? I picked up American money at the bank today. I'll never get used to how boring your bills are. :P ...

Re: One Item for BM a Day

Hit up the dollarstore and hardware store last night. For $6 I got a water spritzer, 3 white board markers, a bag of zipties, a roll of red ribbon to cover up a skirt hem, a 30 pack of plastic shot glasses, and a length of thin braided utility cord for tying up things that are too big for zip ties, ...

Re: Sun path for BRC 2012

My tarp is knitted aluminet, so dust can still go through it. I won't be worrying too much about keeping dust down. I went with the idea that because my shade walls are sloped on the sides, it might throw some of the wind over it if it hits the sides at a diagonal. Don't quote me on that though, it'...

Re: Does this shade structure need guy lines? Running riggi

We used this style structure last year, with 30ft long arches. This year with a reduced camp size and after learning much at last year's burn, we are downsizing to 20ft long arches (middle height of 6ft, ground dimensions of 27ft X 10.5ft) Good things: -light to transport -we didn't have PVC raising...

Re: One Item for BM a Day

I find those heat packet things don't work well with me, because they work by reacting with oxygen, and where I'm the coldest is already packed under clothes (such as my toes) so they stop dispelling heat right away. One note on lasering lazerfox: be prepared to spend more than you initially think....
