definitely interested in building. My camp currently has one 16ft radius dome.
Once upon a time, we concocted this idea for a ridiculous spaceship: http://bit.ly/1dKaegQ
hey guys! Last year I'm pretty sure I saw that someone had built stacked domes, as in a geodesic dome on top of a larger geodesic dome (and I'm pretty sure it was daytime and I was sober). Does anyone remember seeing this or could point me to some pics of it?
Thanks!!
Amanda
hi! I'm looking for anyone in Chicago or near the Ann Arbor region in Michigan who might have a TRAILER (preferably enclosed) that they'd be willing to lend or rent to a theme camp that has a lot of stuff to haul. We've got the backdrop for a stage (where we'll be taking people through a rite of pas...
Hello fair artists! The Syncytium maze theme camp will be located on Ring Road, right by Center camp. We are looking for artists who want to showcase their art in our camp! Whatever you propose, we'll consider it and let's see if we can work it out. It can be anything from a painted sheet that will ...
Hi, I just came across your post. We have a maze theme camp that has been place at Ring Road & 8:00 right by center camp and we'd be really interested in a collaboration!
Wow. that is quite some maze! Thanks so much for all that info. We couldn't have asked for anyone with experience so close to what we're doing! Well now, I have many questions... :) 1) What was the name of your maze? Are you bringing it back again? 2) Where did you get funding from? 3) Would you con...
A question about funding... we're applying for grant money from Chicago Burning Arts. Does anyone have any other suggestions for how we can apply for money?
Oh some questions for right now: Any recommendation on materials to use? Right now we're just thinking of trying to get as much free cloth as possible to paint and use as the maze walls. We're scavenging around laundry services and hotels. Other suggestions? Also, we're trying to decide what's most ...
Patamon - thanks man! We're going to be meeting on April 10 to go over some stuff for theme camps and we'll definitely be looking over your posts and suggestions. We'll also likely be generating a ton of questions at that time too, so be prepared. ;) As for a tower, we would still like to bring some...
hey Henry! Wow, you do seem wonderful. I'd like to extend an offer to stay at our maze theme camp if you haven't already decided on a place to stay. We have two fellas heading over here from the UK as well, one of which is a veteran maze builder. : ) You can check out a post I just put up today. htt...
Here is a schematic of our maze, back when we intended this to be an art installation. It will have to undergo a few changes now that it is a theme camp. (For instance, we will no longer have a large tower in the middle. We might have something tall for 1 or 2 people to climb at a time or a giant pe...
Hello all! A small group of us stretched across Ann Arbor, MI and Chicago, IL are bringing the Syncytium Maze Theme Camp to the playa this year, with a test run at Lakes of Fire. That's right - you get to camp in the middle of a maze (with an easy exit for campers, don't worry ;)) And you get to off...
Hello Burners! Just signed up for this forum and happy to meet anyone on here. I go to the regional events, but I've only been to the big Burn once. And man, did it make an impact. I am so happy to be returning this year. A bit of the general basics before I get into the maze stuff: my name is Amand...
