My yurt has a 24x12” window.

Can I use that space as both an intake for the ducting connected to my cooler AND a separate exhaust duct running from the roof to outside, solar chimney style? I’m trying to minimize cuts in the structure.
Yes

Re: cooling your tent or van

If I get the polarity switch on my fan, it just doesn't turn.

Doesn't hurt it at all.

Re: cooling your tent or van

Not that way. That wall wart would supply up to 1/2 amp, but the fan will only draw what it needs.

And if you fan only draws .25 amps it's way too small for a cooler.

Re: cooling your tent or van

See, that's a BIG power investment for only 50 more CFM, but it wouldn't suck my pads dry.

The trickle is plenty to keep the pad wet.

Used the same ones for 6 yrs without doing more than knocking them together to remove excess playa.

Signs of surface rust only.

I think I would spray it rather than dunking.

And not at all if there is significant dust. Could get nasty.

I wonder if the price will go up due to tariffs, or demand, or both.

I've only knocked the excess plays off and threw them in the bag. 6 yrs with the same lags and I can't detect any wear.

Grommets every 6 feet was plenty for mine and never had a fraying problem. Clear Channel leases most billboards, so maybe find a warehouse in your area. mine was $30 for a 15'x45' piece. The weird thing was it was a misprint so it was brand new and never posted. 8)

fresh: That box isn't big enough for an intake for that fan.

I had to go to a 20"x20" intake register in order to run my fan on high.

A wall wart that changes 120 volt AC to 12 volt DC and provides at least 3 amps.
About $6 at best buy.

It's all glued. I just drop a couple of feet and wiggle it. It drops in a coil on the ground. I know about the figure 8 thing and the weave, but for saving space this is the shit. I've been using this for years with my yackhammer, but someone mentioned melting the cord. I guess people don't check th...

The big issue was that somehow the 10 principles were my idea and how dare I tell people what to do and not do on the playa.

I thought we agree to the principles went we buy our ticket.

Silly me.

Turn the fan on then lift the lid.

If you can detect a change in fan speed, make your intake holes bigger till the fan can breathe freely.
