I have decided on solar power with 200 watt panels with a solar generator.

I am off now to find an amazing group of people to hang out with when I come back home.

You are correct. I only put the max I would need. I too run a 30 watt transmitter. Mine transmitter needs 13.8V DC at 4.5 amps So the transmitter at 62.1 watts plus a laptop at 60 watts is only 121 watts. So I am actually only looking for 121 watts. Well this is my first year I will be attending, if I get the tickets. I signed up for the lottery and I am crossing my fingers. I don't have a problem with the new system at all. It is not hard to buy a car as a foreigner. When you get here go on craigslist.org and just pay cash for the car or van you want. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GO TO The DMV. As long as the Registration is still valid you can drive the car/van. You just need to make sure your license is good here. Best of luck...
