Goin' Staggin' in '08...
Sweet! I am so happy to find Stag Camp again. Last year I got sick and was only able to stay for about a day and a half. This year should be bigger and better. I remember you plow, how's your son (if I remember correctly, single father/philosophy degree?). Matthew

You Got a Camp? I Need a Camp!
To all my fellow burners, I hope this year is fairing well for you all. I am making this post in hopes to meet new people this year. It has happened that, year after year, I have found, that more and more of my friends are becomming unable to attend until, like now, I find myself with a ticket to BM...

Of course silly...
Andrea, check out the Stag Camp on Tribe.net and register there for all sorts of camp info. We are shooting for 8:30 and freshwater. Look for the trailer with the welding shop on it, the big orange windsock, or the palm tree. Hopefully I will have created a sign that makes it obvious by then. Let us...

Ordained Minister for the Playa...
Anyone out there getting married or just need an ordained minister for other ceremony/services? I am a non-denominational agnostic minister (if that even makes any sense), but the whole point is that when I sign a marriage license it's LEGAL! Contact me if you need me - Matthew

Let's Get Lit...
Seriously, I have a flag that is being made by a Seamstress right now that will be cool. But, one of my favorite parts of BM is getting there, setting up, and getting lit... :-L

As of right now I only have the shower frame; I still need to figure out the drainage system, as, like I mentioned, it won't fit into a kiddie pool. Seems to me that to move the water from a shower to the pool would either require a pump or gravity lines; the later would require me to raise the show...

Shower and Water...
The shower I am building will have a 3' x 3' footprint; will it be able to sit in the corner of the evap pond or is it a different type of evap system? My shower is just a little too big for a kiddie pool - MC

Thank you SAM for sending me the message about this camp; I am going solo and would love to make a commune with you all! I have a large 10 person tent with a hammock, table and mattress. I drive an SUV and will be setting up 4 4x4 posts for my main center shade support (seen this in previous years; ...

Lol, you guys got me...yeah, I would take some photos, but only when I ask and it is appropriate; I guess I was just talking about those guys that do nothing but ride around and take candid naked photos. And, of course, those words make everything worth while...

Single and Not Creepy...
So I have seen a lot of posts talking or asking about sexual relations at BM, and one phrase keeps coming up all the time: "Single, Creepy Men." This will be my 7th year. Now, the first three years I went I had a girlfriend; which made me not creepy. Two of the following three years I was single, bu...
let me tell you...
I think that, just like anywhere else, you only have to go around and talk to people; you will be amazed at the experiences you have that way. I have had a girlfriend on the playa a few years, and yet other years I met and hooked up with people. My girlfriend and I once tried getting into the beaver...

Hello, my name is Matthew, and I am in almost the same situation as you! My whole camp backed out at the last minute as well. I have a big personal tent, a wooden frame and tarps for a shade structure, and a rigged shower. I am leaving from Sacramento on Sunday night to get there by opening on Monda...

Hello, I am a 7 year veteran and I am looking for campmates. I saw your post and got to thinking about sharing supplies with you. I don't have an actual large tent like the car port you mentioned for shade, but I am planning on bringing four large posts of which to attatch tarps and such for shade. ...

Well I appreciate the replies and concerns for the well being of my family. Some respondents have assumed that I do not think I plan ahead and took my words too literally. I did not intend on this to start a conversation about how irresponsible I must be; rather, as I said, we have most everyhting n...

New Family Seeks Help
Hello, We are posting this in light of a new member of the family coming soon. Yup, she's pregnant and will be expecting around mid-December. This has, unfortunately put a damper on our Burning Man plans. This will be my fourth year and her first. We already have our tickets, but we have had to use ...
