Unfortunately where I'll be camping it's not do-able. That's why I was asking.

Any bar/lounge interested in hosting a cigar bar night(s)?

Hi all-- Last year was my 4th burn and I've participated in different ways each year from panel discussions, ESD volunteering, and candidly underparticipating my first couple years while I figured this out. I'm still trying to nail down tickets for my wife and I this year but am cautiously optimisti...

The Pink gym! Come to think of it--I think that's the one I was in before! Thanks!

Re: Gym/crossfit camp?

Why don't you build it yourself? Radical self-reliance and all that. Given the difficulties of interpreting interwebs communication I'm not sure if this was intended as sarcasm or not, but I suppose one could say that about every camp or whathaveyou one frequents or uses on the playa. Obviously non...

Gym/crossfit camp?

In previous years I've found a camp with a full set of weights, squat racks, etc but I can't remember who it was. Likewise, I remember a camp a few years back where they did WODs at various times. Again, no memory of who it was. Does anyone know of anyone with a similar setup this year? I searched b...

Re: VHF HAM 2 Way Radios

I didn't see it but has anyone given thought to a VHF simplex frequency for playa chat we could plan on? Or maybe just stick with 146.52?

Thanks everyone. Has anyone heard of Fantasia Pet Resort? I called them before I saw the replies and got a really good vibe, but it's tough not seeing the place in person first.

Reno People

Is anyone from Reno here? By the time of the burn I'll be traveling in an RV fulltime, and thus will have my dog and a bunch of stuff I prefer not to bring onto the playa. Any suggestions on (1) a good dog boarding kennel and (2) a cheap storage place in Reno? Obviously the storage should be easy en...

What I do with my CPAP is fill the humidifier with water but don't turn on the heat. That way it acts like a passive humidifier by passing the air over the water. It works, though it does seem to evaporate the water at about 1/3 to 1/2 the rate of using the heat. So it's not like you're not going to...

The inverter suggestion is a good one. I use a CPAP and run mine off a small 200 watt inverter in my RV. I don't use the humidifier because it draws too much power, so the power draw is relatively low.

[quote="AntiM"]Gas expands in the heat, don't fill the containers full. Also, you must vent the storage compartments thoroughly, don't let the fumes get a chance to build up! MyLarry just went through his Hazmat certification and he winces at the thought of enclosed compartments. He suggests you don...

I'll throw in my vote for another eu2000 as well. I use two paralleled to power everything in my rv, and have run sensitive electronics of them with no problem at all.

Thanks everyone, for all your responses. At the very least it sounds like a very aggressive cleaning will be in order, which is doable. I'm going to hole up somewhere for a week and clean the RV post-burn so I'll just add it to my list. And I'm definitely going to do whatever I can to protect my "ho...

Virgin Bike Questions

Hello everyone, this will be my first burn and I was hoping to get some input on bikes that I haven't been able to find concisely answered in the other posts. My situation is this--when I go I'll be living and traveling fulltime in an RV, so I'll basically be bringing my home with me. I have a Trek ...
