I first attended in 1995. My now wife has been twice and is a confirmed Playa Hater. Any talk of Burning Man gets fingers in ear and La la la la. Fortunately for me - bad for the relationship, I have tunnel vision at this time of the year, especially now I am co-camp manager at a Center Camp spot, b...

Just saw AVATAR last night - WOW - had 3D dreams all night.

Best movie since the first Star Wars with some Dune & Apocalypse Now thrown in from genius Canadian James Cameron:

Thanks Cryptofish - they have apparently contacted someone in Gerlach so we are off the case now. I hope he's having fun?

HELP - MIA

HELP

I am trying to help a friend's parents. Their son was due back home frrom the Black Rock cleanup and has not materialized yet.

They specifically asked for the BM office phone number (in Gerlach?) but I wonder if there is a better way to call DPW?

Gate crashing is starting to sound liek a good plan... Everyone behind the bus, we're going through. ----------------------------------------- Wow - that reminds of the Gulf War march in SF back in '91. God that was empowering - we were supposed to march straight down Market St but suddenly all turn...

Dick - you rapscallian scallywag - I took at as a joke at first - but I guess I wanted to believe there was a good ol' fashioned commonsense solution to this stupid unnecessary cockup. <Is> As an old IT'er I couldn't agree more. I wonder if this has anything to do with them advertising for a new IT ...

Poor, poor passless me. Actually the guy I feel sorry for is the one I was supposed to pick up from Greyhound after his all-nighter from LA Thursday night and then take up to BRC. His pass is for Friday, but I'm not sure I have the stamina to hang around in Gerlach for 48+ frickin' hours wasting my ...

<dupe> Not completely conclusive yet, but the Black Rock Beacon may have only received half its requirement this year. Somehow the four people coming down from WA with the printer and the four man setup crew from CA, the Middle East and Canada plus one spare driver are supposed to all fit into four ...

< believe there was also a computer bank that had individual camp locations listed also and a large physical map. But I can't recall if it was in Media Mecca or Playa Info. > As soon as you get a location it would be a very good idea to send someone to Playa Info and put in your ALT Camp ID and loca...

My information is that BM alternates between two sites - if you hated last year's - you'll love 2009. I believe they also reduced the size (of the Esplanade circle) back to 2007 dimensions.

How is playa access from Trego / Frog Pond area? Although I will prob go to Gerlach first for Juplaya.

There's nothing wrong with an eye-opener in the morning.
A drop of brandy in your coffee is fine.
Wine or beer with lunch is perfectly OK.
A boilermaker or two after work is a great idea.

BUT this business of SIP,SIP,SIP all day long has got to STOP!

<Been a long time getting here - hi all y'all>

Hawaii is very healing. When it rains you can smell the Earth. I would go with all deliberate speed, Deb.
