You are free to stand at the temple burn. I am free to tell you to sit the fuck down. You are free to be an asshole, And i am free to call you an asshole, you are free to do what ever you want. Re: Help Burners Without Borders in Haiti!
I don't support Haiti. Much like I don't support dirty hippies, crack heads or junkies. After the earthquake I wanted to donate but after doing reasearch I decided nature did its job in keeping the balance. I'm sure it's a terrible thing to say but the rate of poverty and suffering there is largely ...

Re: Burning Man 2013 Tickets Info
I am happy to see the BMorg has taken a step in the right direction. Thank you to all the people who had a hand in this years ticket plan. As a retired event promoter I understand the need and importance of pre sale and tired ticket programs. I'm sure it was a hard business decision to make. You hav...

The OP really seems to lack very necessary management skills required to run a camp. "No need to continue. I Can't argue with stupid." Not everyone has your calm, conflict reducing, non-control freak management skills...... I think it's very clear I'm a control freak. now apply a health dose of but...

I believe there will be a repeat of last year. BM sells out of tickets. People are unable to attend BM and the last week are taking what they can for their tickets. Not all tickets will get used. And another thread about how much money BM is making off of ticket sales will pop back up.

I think calling this guy a predator might be a little much. Pervey and inappropriate for sure. Never the less there is enough concern to be careful. After confronting him and getting a negative result the camp organizers should have been brought in and it should been explained VERY clearly (in priva...

The OP really seems to lack very necessary management skills required to run a camp. Holding someone accountable is not waiting a month and looking for revenge. Any problems should have been addressed and resolved on the playa. If you expect people not take advantage of a EA pass you set your self u...

You should have no problems camping alone on the playa. I would only suggest to have someone back at home you check in with every 2 days 3 at the most.

CRFA & FEHA also have requirements that must be met in order to be eligible. Being sick, disabled or pregnant is not enough to qualify. Length of employment, how many employees the employer has, proper notification. How many hours worked in 12 months. Be informend and protect your self.

There are legal loops holes to rights and FMLA. Know you rights and use them. FLMA can be a tricky thing as it protects employers as much as it protects employees.

Kandi was so 90s... Think of a gift as something you share not give. Be creative. I'm not sure if the "adoption" thing happed for 2012. I have not seen anyone post their experiences. I am considering an advanced orphan camp for 2013. It's undecided still but you can check back later in 2013 for upda...

Do tons of research. You really learn more than just how to be prepared. And get involved in some of the discussions here. Carpool to me says you have limmited funds and resources. This will take careful and creative planning. For most of us it is a VERY expensive vacation. Dont ask about joining a ...

To sakemooper. It appears from your post that because you are so awsome and provide sooo much to the playa you are to be considered above the rules on how loud your music can be. You were first asked by your neighbors to turn your music down, and decided fuck'em they don't know the meaning of fun. t...

There is no way you can fit the experience of a redwood tree on a post card. Absolutely amazing. But if city life is the way to go I think most will agree you can't go wrong with San Francisco. Re: I want to be adopted as a burning girl virgin,
For the most part theme camps do not function as playa motels. They serve to bring interactive art or activities to the playa. The members pay dues for the shelter, shade, art, activities, and transportation. Although they may have additional camp spots open this is not a pay and stay offer. It is a...

Honestly, if you are going to take some level of responsibility for first timers, I don't think you should be kicking people out of the camp for things like not living up to your expectation and the expectations o the event. Also refusing camp space to those who came unprepared seems down right nast...

A theme camp can be a good choice, but so many to choose from, and they fill up so fast. Research and plan very carefully. It can make all the difference in your experience on the playa.
