Places to Stop and Stare
There is the Temple of Goddess Spirituality an hour north of Vegas on the 95, just after Indian Springs in a 'town' called Cactus Springs. It's on the left side of the road, just look for the trees. Vegas to Reno
I make the Vegas to Reno trip a few times a year. On average it takes me 7.5 hours and that is actually going through Reno to Stead NV about 11 miles north of Reno. Southern Route
Well if ya happen to take the southern route through vegas there's a few interesting places to stop along the way. There's Ryolite, an old ghost town by Beatty (Hwy 95, 2 hrs north of vegas). There are some really cool artitic things on the main street of Rhyolite before the actual ruins of the town...
